I work in an all female environment, as the only man. It's a female dominated industry so I've always worked in female majority workplaces, but this time I'm the only man. And this has become a problem. In the absence of men, any men, these women have gone kind of feral. Many smell of vagina, or period, i don't know. Personal hygiene has been abandoned. Hair is not combed, deodorant isn't used, bras are 50/50. They're physically repulsive to me. They seem to be autistic and collectively unable to communicate, they huddle to try to work out what I'm trying to say. Or on the phone to suppliers or clients, they seem unable to communicate with men. And I'm very literal, so I really don't know what there is to misunderstand. They have superstitious beliefs, monkey and ladder style, where they all do something a certain way but nobody can explain or seems to know why. The way they complete physical tasks is particularly baffling, as their socially engineered solutions lead to bizarre outcomes. Moving the same box 8 times, everyone cleaning the toilet once a week, ritualistic tasks.Even for me, it's too much.

Often my manager sends me as a pawn to break up some kind of social deadlock they can't resolve, because they're incredibly conflict adverse. And I'm constantly struggling to do simple tasks like move boxes from A to B, due to all these bizarre intermediate steps. We don't need to individually lable boxes, there's a loading zone. Only one thing goes in the zone, so none of it needs to be labled. Inventory is kept on the inventory database, that's why you have one. We don't maintain the database so people can manually check the same stock 3 times. Fuck sake.
