How do I dip my toes back into computer programming?

Haven't been to my college in 2 years

I still wanna make an action indie video game

Up to 2023 I learned python, c++, java, xhtml, and basic

I need to brush up on ALL of ot though

Tips and breadcrumbs?
Which way should I go?

Whats the first thing i should do?

what do you want to do? if you want to make a game, start with a game engine and work backwards from there.

>I need to brush up on ALL of ot though
no u dont. ur not coding a game in basic

Follow tutorials on making games on your chosen system and use LLMs to help when you get stuck.

make some small games 1-2 weeks each to practice takinng a project to completion

good luck anon

figure out something you want to do then ask the LLM what the best way to do it would be, if you don't understand anything ask it to explain it.

I wanna make a small dmc type action game

What would you say are some good examples of small games made in a week?

As a lot of anons have explained, using LLMs help a lot but what they've failed to mention is UX. Without it you rust and be as clueless as when you started. Even if all you do is practice keep a well-oiled machine out of your UX.

Just do it
