Go outside and find peace in the outdoors. Hell sitting outside does wonders for that. Sometimes when I'm stressed, I get a beer, listen to silent hill music, and look at waves at night or dark trees.

>>34006745>How do I cope with failure?How big a failure?
>>34007093I failed to get a job that I felt really good about. I was told basically everything right; I was just second best candidate
>>34007122You may find that there are characteristics that change other's viewpoint of you. Coming from someone who has always been second best, your inner light will shine and warm the hearts of those who feel connected to you.
>>340071222nd best is better than being 3rd best. Job hunting for permanent positions is pretty hard at this time of the year with companies finalizing their budgets for the year. So the struggle is understandable. Here are some phrases that help me out when dealing with disappointment:"That's life. Some things can't be helped.""Maybe it wasn't meant to be. Something else will come along.""This is just temporary. Things will be different in the future, or things will be better.""Today is not my day. I'll try again tomorrow.""I might be in knee deep in this shit, but I'm still in this fight."
>>34006745You came into the world tiny and naked. How can you possibly fail when no-one knows the reason for us being here? You won already.

>>34006745>>How do I cope with failure?Step 1: git gud
You only need to succeed once not to be a total failure >>34007122Now do that 50 more times to get a job in this economy
You learn from it and use those lessons going forward.

>>34007526>>34007482Easy to say. Tough to live by
>>34007122At least your whole life is not a mess, you just failed at a job aplicattion
>>34007567Loser.
>>34006745Learn from it then it's no longer a failure.
I don't know how to cope with failure but I'm starting to get suicidal thoughts I don't know if their connect but I think they are
>>34007333
>>34007622No, the rest of it is a mess too, but this would have been nice
>>34007122That happened to me and then I was hired after unsuccessful interviews with several other companies. I’ve been at this job for decades now. Just keep looking. If you were second best, that’s still pretty good.Alternatively, check again every month to see if that company is hiring again. You may be hired if they are still interested in someone with your qualifications.
>>34006745I can post a long-winded paragraph droning on about the subconscious mind or whatever, but you know how practically every first answer goes along the lines of "Just move on"It is that simple. Hard to follow, yeah, but it is that simple....
