tl;dr I’m taking over a business and we have $50-80k of equipment stolen and have it on good suspicion most of it is being sold out of a storage facility.Problem is, the people doing the stealing use rideshare apps.Has anybody figured out how to track these since the apps require all kinds of gps data anyway?
>>34009369The police can get warrants to view that data. But if you already reported the theft and the police didn't do jack, best bet is to file a civil suit against the thieves and then subpeona the rideshare companies for that information
>>34010134Yeah issue is finding out who. Sorry but messcans roll in gangs. There’s like 9 that carpool in an F150 and then some of them have to use ridesharing from their apt because they only have the one car. So I basically have to track down my shit then get police involved.Having a hard time relying on police for ANYTHING because they fucking help the illegals in the worst ways not joking I’ve seen them let a drunk guy get a ride home after he was caught driving
>>34010416I think you just have to tail the vehicle to the storage facility or whatever. Also, take pictures of everything you do so that you can give it to the police and do their entire job for them when you do report the theft
>>34010942I’d have to stake out their place probably all week.
