>out of a job for almost 2 years>apply to a 'collections officer' job>it's call centre shit where you harass people for money>i used to work as a credit assessor (the guys that approve loans and put people into crippling debt) so I have somewhat relevant experience>get an email link asking me to do a pre-recorded video interview>they give me 5 days to do it>so sick of doing video interviews and getting rejected that i can't muster the energy to actually record it so i just ignore it and assume they'll reject me>3 days after it was due they send me a follow up email telling me i've progressed to the next stage which is a MS teams interviewwhat the fuck? i don't know what to do. this seems sus. on the one hand i'm desperate for a job. on the other hand this makes them seem desperate, also collections work seems miserable and i don't really want to do it, and lastly how the hell do i explain why i just ignored their initial pre-recorded interview request?what do i do /adv/?
>>34010895that's a really shitty line of work, bad karma
>>34010895I read your post and thought "corrections officer", which actually pays more money, is also desperate to hire you, and probably a better job so long as you can be relatively nice to awful people
>>34010895Its a bottom tier job nobody wants to do, they will hire anyone because they wil have a crazy turnover rate anyways. Most likely they didn't even chekc whether you did the video thing, they will jsts have a quick talk to make sure you wipe your ass after shitting and talk like a human and then off you go.If you actually take it, expect to not last longer than six months, or sacrifice your mental health in its entirety if you persist after that.
i'm just gonna ignore it. i did call centre work before and it was miserable. easily the worst thing i've ever had to experience in my life. my NEET suffering continues :(
