I'm 31 years old, haven't been employed in 8 years. I'm ugly, live with my parents, have no college diploma and no way to excel in life. I have severe social anxiety and am a very nervous person. I'm very wary of people. But I'm thinking of my options and realize I don't have anything left. So should I bite the bullet and join the coast guard, or try something different?
It would be easier to join the Army. The coast guard needs less people, but the Army accepts plenty of people. You should also join a local community college. It is cheaper than you may expect and might get you in the right direction.
>>34027784Try USSF if you want to join purely for pragmatic reasons>T. USAF 1A8
>>34028500Being enlisted is a last resort. Just don't have neck tattoos, be not retarded (asvab is a highschool test) and you can do anything that's enlisted. Officer is another story.
>>34027784Try another branch like other anon said or try to join a trade. Live below your means and invest. Practice making eye contact with cashiers and during casual conversations with strangers when the opportunity arises to desensitize yourself.
>>34027784Air/Space Force all the way man, a lot less bullshit to deal with. If you want an "authentic military" experience go Army or Marines but that shit'll get old fast, especially if you're thinking of making a career out of the military.Just don't go maintenance or security forces lolt. USAF 2A5 >>34028502o7
>>34027784If you can pass the physical yes don't wait any longer. 30s is old.
>>34028502>>34028679I never researched it in depth but I reckoned probably the cushiest possible job in the air force is national guard chaplain. Think you need an MA in theology for that though.
>>34030065you do.
>>34028500>>34028502>>34028679Fuck off, zogbots.
>>34030074>Fuck off, zogbots.>In a thread where OP is considering joining the militaryRetards like you make for perfect cannon fodder
>>34027784There are a lotta better things about choosing the coast guard but I don’t see them here. I’d hate to tell you to checkout YouTube but..
lmao I'm similar but mid 30s and in canada. I have no idea how I'd even apply for a job with a 10 year gap and getting fired for being shit at coding. I have a bsc but in an unrelated life science field. I just don't care and it's either like sewer slide or military and try to get one of the IT career paths.
Except the ugly part I'm probably like 6.5 - 7 and fine at talking to humans. but all that shit seems like so much work and I don't care about humans. I just want to like, exist until I can't leech family and then die I guess. don't want to support the fucked up capitalist system especially when I don't see a quick path to a job that wouldn't feel like horrible exploitation because no good job is coming to me in this market.
I'd have to move across the country for this shit and I think you get very little choice in where you go after that which is certainly something. but dunno what other realistic path I'd have to a decent job other than like if I actually made something very impressive and tried to use taht to get a coding job or just did more schooling shit but fuck I don't wanna go to school. don't wanna do fucking ANYTHING
>>34027784I did it for four years. Its not a bad gig but I wouldn't join any armed forces right now with the current administration. But since you say you're running out of options you probably won't listen to that part. If you are nervous and have severe social anxiety you probably might have an anxiety attack at boot camp. As long as you can play the game at boot camp and follow orders and can talk on the bridge or radio you'll be fine. Go OS if you want to rank up fast and coast out the 4 years until you get access to the GI Bill then you could go back to school. Take classes while you're in too. Are you a complete dumbass? Then this advice won't work for you. Also don't drink too much.
>>34032871Except for the coast guard actually protecting the United States.
>>34040233This is naive. The Coast Guard is in the Middle East and was responsible in the seizing of that Venezuelan oil tanker just recently. The Coast Guard has had increasingly less noble intentions since it switched over to Homeland Security.>>34040157I'm this anon. I had the same ideas thinking the Coast Guard was the most ethical branch since I was doing a lot of SAR. But your missions get increasingly intertwined in other affairs. Plus side is i learned a bit how the world works which caused me to leave. I'll say have an exit plan right when you join in. Or don't join at all. You can do a lot of good but ranking up may require you to do things you don't want to if ethics are your concern.
>>34030074>muh zogbotNigger, anyone that joins fully understands that they are a glorified mercenary doing it for gibs and sport. I got a free college degree, saved up $75k, and got to travel the world. Your stupid ideological bullshit is meaningless to someone who is poor and has little prospects.
Do not become a fucking zogbot
>>34041460Oh so you fully understand your jewish crimes. This will really help you when you're being judged.
