i find old dead mmorpgs that are run on private servers to be very social and easy to play. star wars galaxies, guild wars 1, final fantasy xi, ragnarok online, phantasy star online to name a few. people are almost always excited by new players. there's also an mmoadventure thread over on /vm/ with a group of people that hop from game to game together.

In Squad you're constantly talking to team members. At the start of the round it's just messing aroung and then it's all about strategizing and communicating. It's also the only decent shooter atm.
