Hello, I need help.I was falsely accused of “psychological abuse” by a bitch at my previous job.In short, I left my belongings with her because I didn't have a lock, and she kept them with hers.We agreed that I would pick up my things at the end of the workday, but the bitch wasn't there at the agreed time, so I looked for my things in several lockers, without success. Then I looked for a supervisor and other coworkers who were leaving to report what had happened. One of these people found the bitch at the subway station and told her that I was looking for my things (because I couldn't leave without them). The fucking bitch came back to the company about 15 minutes later and the first thing she said was “it's his fault,” and when I asked her why she took my things, she said she would “give them back tomorrow.”Fucking bitch, she had my shoulder bag with all my documents and cards, and my cell phone. After that, we stopped talking to each other and she started provoking me in the office, banging her chair behind mine every time she walked past me.I put up with it for a few days without saying anything until I went to the supervisor, and after a few days she was fired. At least a month passed, and then the police showed up at the company informing me that I had been reported for harassment and psychological violence. Clearly, this bitch is doing this out of revenge because she can't handle the consequences of her own actions.I've already decided that I'm going to exercise my right to remain silent, but I don't have the money for a lawyer. I'll have to resort to a public defender.Any useful advice? Any help would be appreciated, thank you.
>>34056014I would need to know where you live, especially because I have never in my life heard of "psychological violence" as a criminal offenseAlso, yeah, obviously, don't talk to cops without a lawyer. And it would be a good idea to write down exactly what happened at which day and a list of coworkers who can back you up
>>34056014What evidence did she present to the police to back up her accusations?
>>34056014reddit spacingragebaitcomplete work of fiction
>>34056338>I have never in my life heard of "psychological violence" as a criminal offensebecause that's not a real thing>>34056343there is no evidence because OP is an incel fiction writer
I don't know why you think I'm lying, but that's okay.I live in Brazil, and here there is indeed this thing called “psychological violence against women.” Brazil is one of those countries that gives women a lot of rights and turns a blind eye to the shit they do. I don't know what evidence she presented, I was only told about the things she said in her statement to the police. In fact, I don't think she has any evidence (unless she makes something up, which wouldn't surprise me) other than her word, and unfortunately here in Brazil, that's enough to be tried.Yes, a woman's word can get you convicted even without evidence, since she is the “victim,” the law interprets her word as the most relevant.I need to PROVE that I'm innocent, since I was reported by a woman #fuck Brazil #stupidAssCountryShe only went to the police after she was fired, I'm sure of it.She's doing this out of retaliation.I don't see myself going after the company employees (only two) who were there when I theoretically committed “psychological violence” against her. I don't work there anymore, and after this case, I kind of felt bad about working there. I'm currently in another job. Thanks for the answers. This is my first post here, by the way.
>>34057282>I don't know why you think I'm lying, but thPost the laws. What did the police do when they showed up at your workplace? They put you in handcuffs and drove you back to the station? Were you questioned? Did you have to post bail? How much was it?
>>34057282>Yes, a woman's word can get you convicted even without evidence, since she is the “victim,” the law interprets her word as the most relevant. There is no country in the world where this is true.
>>34057311Not OP, but he isn't lying about that part. Article 147-B of the penal code: https://www.planalto.gov.br/ccivil_03/decreto-lei/del2848compilado.htmShitty law, very vague. Can't really give any more advice without knowing the specific accusations. At that point you have two strategies: disprove her claims (provide witnesses of your version of events), or argue your actions do not meet the standard of the crime (you need a lawyer for this or look up other cases in which someone got charged with this crime and was found innocent)
>>34057633>he isn't lying about that part.oh he's just lying about everything else, thanks for clarifying
Answering your questions. Here in Brazil, when you are reported, it's probably different than in the US, so let me explain.>The bitch went to the police and said whatever she wanted.>The police showed up at my work looking only for my name, which she gave them because she had access to it since we also worked with emails.>The police showed up at my work because she reported that it was the location where the alleged accusation took place.>The police spoke to the receptionist looking for my name to inform me that I had been reported and would need to give a statement within a month, on a specific date. No, I didn't have to pay bail, I was REPORTED, not CONVICTED.The day arrived, and I went to the police department to give my statement. I told the whole story in detail to the guy who was taking notes (yes, it was a mistake) to show that I was innocent. At the end of my statement, he printed two papers and asked me to sign them, confirming my statement.I refused, on the grounds that I would only sign with the approval of a lawyer (here I was right). Then, the guy who was taking notes said something like“In these types of cases, sometimes saying less, or nothing at all, is better than trying to prove something.”“Since you refuse to sign, let's do this: you go find a lawyer and come back in a month and a half so we can take a new statement.”(Yes, I was lucky in that regard. I told him it was a false accusation and he was understanding.)
>>34060410>>34060410 Time passed, and about two weeks ago I gave my new statement, without hiring a lawyer.I spoke to a friend of mine who had experience, and I also studied the Brazilian penal code on the internet during that time. This time, my statement took less than 15 minutes at the police station, unlike last time when I couldn't stop talking (I must have been there for about two hours).I arrived, explained my case, handed over the paper showing that I had been summoned to testify, waited about five minutes, and when the police officer read the charges, I just said that I was already aware of them and that I would like to remain silent. The police officer printed out the paper proving this in writing, and I signed it.My friend Felipe and I were high, debating this issue and WHY I SHOULDN'T TALK TO THE POLICE IN MY NEXT STATEMENT.It was a really cool conversation, and we got into an analogy that I called “hologram arrows.”You see an arrow coming toward you;what is the logical thought? DEFEND YOURSELF.So I create a shield. However, I only discover that the arrow is a hologram (harmless) when I stop defending myself.Anyway...I don't have a specific law to send you, my friend. I really wanted to help you, but here in Brazil it's common for people to always take a woman's word into account. Like, if a woman accuses you of rape here, you're likely to be killed by the locals before the police arrive.Even if it's not true! I can send you links to articles where this has happened.
>>34060425Oh, by the way, my case is now under “inquérito,” where the police will conduct their investigation, and I have no idea what will happen in the meantime. When I asked at the police department before leaving, they simply said that I will testify AGAIN after receiving a letter/telegram informing me of the new date.
>>34057375bro, do you know muslims countrys, where women don't got no rights? yeah, Brasil it's the polar opposite. i ain't tryna be no misogynistic and shit, but a bitch can get you killed or in jail easily over here.
this macaco REALLY doesn't like women
