Has anyone here had to appeal an academic suspension before? I failed three of my online classes, and now I either get banned from the university for a year or they approve my appeal. My problem is I don't know if I can make a good case for myself. I deliberately sacked off two classes because I fell behind in assignments until it snowballed out of control. The failed third class came as a surprise since I got an almost perfect score on the midterm and a perfect score on the final, but I neglected the assignments there and it was enough to tank the whole grade. There's really no good reason I can give them beyond having work. How can I bullshit them to let me back? How often do these appeals actually get approved?Help me, bros...
>>34056119The only appeals that work can cite a specific trauma (I had an A average but my grandma died in exam week." There is NO way to whitewash "I just stopped doing the assignments"Actually, you are being treated very generously by being allowed to come back after a "Grow up" year.
>>34056119>Has anyone here had to appeal an academic suspension before?Yeah it was fine. In my case telling them work was kicking my ass worked, but there happened to be a lot of proof I could have shown for it. At least it worked at a community college, I haven't touched uni>How can I bullshit them to let me back?A lot of people like the word "therapy" a lot and strongly suggested it, so maybe convince them you were too overwhelmed to where they feel bad and urge you to take it up and rejoin
>>34056227>The only appeals that work can cite a specific traumaYeah, I'm seeing stuff like that or a death of a pet being listed as reasonsNot really something I can lie about though>There is NO way to whitewash "I just stopped doing the assignments"Well, you might be right, but I'm going to try nonetheless>>34056291>but there happened to be a lot of proof I could have shown for itThat sounds important... what all did you have to provide?>At least it worked at a community college, I haven't touched uniMy uni is a little shitty but I'm sure it won't be easily forgiving to me>A lot of people like the word "therapy" a lot and strongly suggested it, so maybe convince them you were too overwhelmed to where they feel bad and urge you to take it up and rejoinI'll have to look into this strategy. Basically guilt tripping them into letting you back in. Kek
All suspensions end up in termination. The entire point is that they want to clean up their end to make sure they aren't held accountable and don't want you making more of a mess. Your SOL op.
>>34056376>That sounds important... what all did you have to provide?Thankfully nothing, but I could have shown them the paystubs to show the hours and I would've given them my job's phone number so they can hear what the job told me about "which is more important." By sheer coincidence I've encountered one of my teachers, a few of the advisors, and one of the big wigs from the campus while working and I think that would have added extra weight to my side if I were pressed for it. Ultimately only needed to turn in a "study plan" in the end>Basically guilt tripping them into letting you back inThe funny thing is I didn't even say any other stuff like what was going on at home or family and they were very on board with the therapy idea just from me saying I was tired trying to keep up with school and work. They never followed up on it either and it might just be that easy
