anyone here thats aware they're a dismissive-avoidant type of partner? i need some advice. i need help and enlightenment,
>>34059525Same boat. Best advice I got is first work on your own independence financially / spiritually enough to where you're alright if things go south with future partners, because what I fear most is betrayal of my trust in others and it stems from experience with those I thought I could trust most. I guess what to remember is one, knowing if you're gonna be with someone they'll have bullshit that you have to increase your tolerance for no matter what just choose who has the least of it. And two, recognize you can get hurt from anyone and that's just life. No point in being a shut-in or never taking a leap of faith otherwise loneliness is your only reward. Use your intuition and see what happens, but don't put your dick in crazy / stupid or open ur pussy to assholes / abusers (no gender in post). Good luck anon.
>>34059525>dismissive-avoidant>aware of their own behavior
I dunno but there is a woman thats obviously in limerence with me and based on my research theyre often avoidance attachment. Shes pretty cute though. Is it destined to fail? Any advice to someone that would be in a relationship with someone like that?
>>34059816>treating people who select others based on "control" and "safety" as an "option"you get what you fucking deserve
>>34059816>Any advice to someone that would be in a relationship with someone like that?Yes, don't. Avoidants are considered BPD adjacent for a reason.
>>34059972Thats not at all what I want i feel protective of her. She seems like a sweet girl and she obviously adores me i just dont know what its like to date someone like that.
>>34060504that's what THEY want they only let someone in when they feel like they have leverage
>>34060513I see. I misinterpreted it as you thinking I wanted to take advantage. Makes sense
