The actual physical sensation of dying to me sounds scary but being dead shouldn't be scary. I'm not religious at all but as strange as it sounds, I think your mind and body prepares you for it. People seem to attain some measure of peace in their last few moments. I dunno, even being alive in this moment is a statistical anomaly of a universally rare kind. I think the older you get the more perspective you'll gain and the less you'll focus on the things you can't control or predict.
