Hey guys, so I work in an office setting, and usually people ignore my existence which I am more than okay with, because I am awkward, and they feel awkward around me, I have accepted this, however, this coworker of mine who is significantly older than me has invited me out to get coffee, or lunch, and honestly it is a kind gesture, but I feel like more than once he has stated that he is “single” and just feels like he wants a family, but I feel like he may be trying to be friendly towards me in a fatherly way? or in like a creepy way.. It makes me uncomfortable because I am not used to people treating me more than I expect them to, am I just being dramatic? should I just let it be?
>>34063522I take it you're a woman?What do you want?
>>34063532Yes, and what do you mean? I just kind of want him to leave me alone, is that too rude? I just like to go to work and leave without any unnecessary interaction.
>>34063537>I just kind of want him to leave me aloneThen you should tell him that. And if he insists, maybe say you already have a bf, but he's LDR (so he doesn't snoop around for proof).
>>34063563I guess I’ll have to find a way to tell him that in a professional manner, since we see each other everyday lol. Thank you
>>34063582Just be cordial about it and probably you should say it's not him personally you are annoyed by, but you don't feel like talking with anybody at work except for a work-related reason. It's quite weird though, but you do you.
