How do you gain the willpower to change? I watched Rocky last night, got motivated, then proceeded to do nothing all day after work. It sucks.
>>
you reduce the requirement for willpower by making it as easy as possible like setting your running/gym clothes the night before, or acknowledging doing 3/10 or 5/10 can be better than skipping and doing 0/10 that day. So you perform 'kaizen' and perform the minimum you can tolerate, like reading for 2 minutes getting started is the hardest part

You work. I consider that a win.

Yeah, that'll happen. That's what feelings do. Rocky wasn't just motivated, he was disciplined. It's a whole other thing. Motivation is just a feeling that can go away at any time. Discipline makes people do the thing regardless of how they feel. It's more difficult to harness, but it's also way more powerful than motivation could ever hope to be.

you need your own adrian, just like rocky

This. Motivation ain't shit, discipline is what you need

And this is a good way to build discipline. Just religiously commit to doing something consistent, even if it's something pathetically small. Get over your ego and just do it.
I fell off the wagon hard this year after too much work and too much coping by eating and drinking beer. I used to be able to bang out pushups in a clip of 30, 2pl8 was my working weight for bench and 3pl8 for squat. Now I can barely do 10 pushups in a set and I've lost 50 to 80 lbs on all my lifts. Doesn't matter, I'm going back in anyway to get back to and past what I did before.

Start small and build up. If you're going to the gym, go for half an hour every other day for now and then start going for an hour every day. Just a suggestion.

Go to a psychiatrist and get your ADHD treated.

Set urself up for success. Don't just say I'll do it tomorrow, set yourself up for tomorrow. Tomorrow u ain't gonna wanna do the laundry. But if you put the laundry in the washer, and let it dry overnight, you will have no choice but to finish what u started when you're up the next day.
