What is it like having real friends and not people who only want you around for favors, entertainment, emotional availability or someone to vent to?
>>34074736>unconditional love in friendshipThis does not exists. I tried to be this person for others, but was never reciprocated. Apparently only Jesus does it consistently to his sheep.
>>34074736What else are friends for? Helping each other, having a laff together, sharing emotions together, and confiding in each other. Seriously OP what else are friends for? What would you consider to be a ‘friend’? Because a real friend does all this with you. A fake friend only expects it from you and gives nothing back.
I'm starting to think that's all friendship is. When I see people who boast about their tight friendships, it's impossible to not notice how there is ALWAYS some compromise or bartering happening behind the scenes. They're all fake nice to eachother and trash eachother to eachother in private. Theyre all happy when they're drunk together but all I see is the dysfunction.
>>34074736It's great, like having siblings except my friends never kicked me down the stairs as a child. Truly a rewarding and life-affirming experience
>>34074736It’s very relaxing. You don’t have to be on your guard all of the time and you can really be yourself.
