Does anyone here do red light therapy?
I started doing it 4 months ago, almost every single day, often even twice a day, but nothing improved.
I have a Hooga300 and I've been using it most of the time at a distance of around 20cm, the light also got to my penis and belly but of course at a bigger distance. I did this almost always for 15 minutes and always both red light and near infrared.
RLT is supposed to help with many things, such as muscle recovery, collagen production, more energy and better sleep, but I see none of these benefits.
Now I started doing RLT on my penis, again at around 20cm of distance because the skin looks injured and even bluish close the the glans.
I'm supposed to see the benefits in the long term but I've been doing this for 4 months and no improvement. I fear it may make things worse. I don't why it doesn't work, what dosing should I try?
Please help me.

To nobody's great surprise.

"Red light therapy (RLT) is a treatment that uses low levels of red light to reportedly improve your skin’s appearance, like reducing wrinkles, scars, redness and acne. It’s also touted to treat other medical conditions."

"Most experts say that they don’t know yet if RLT is effective for all its claimed uses. Most say that the studies published so far show some potential for certain conditions, but that more studies need to be conducted. Red light therapy is still an emerging treatment that’s generating growing interest. But at this point in time, there’s not enough evidence to support most uses."

The specific wavelengths of light and frequencies affect things and like anything else be skeptical of any therapy that's sold as a miracle that does "everything". What are you looking to "improve"? A lot of the things that you mention, even if they are improving like collagen production or lowering inflammation etc.. may not be visible especially in the short term

If you're using it too close to your dick, are you burning it basically? Does it feel warm or even hurt when/after you expose it to the light? I'm curiou why the skin would look injured otherwise. There's a lot of what could be called biohacking shit about using infrared/red light etc.. on the dick, but they are upfront about how the heating potential is part of the process and benefit and that you need to be careful about the device and how you use it. In short though, be careful and have realistic expectations of these emerging therapies. There are a LOT of shady faux medical device sales that promise the world based on very little, so be wary o those claims. Red light can have benefits but the specifics matter.

I do red light district therapy. It has helped me a lot. It's on the expensive side though.

You should use it in combination of other things such as supplements, creams, medication and therapy. The real net benefit is likely small but it doesn't cost much (the real cost is the 10 minutes you have to aim the light at the affected bodyparts everyday)

I think you would be better off getting an actual dermatologists opinion and using whatever they recommend.
Some things work for some people, and not for others. Your best bet would be getting tailored advice from a professional lol.
