Why am I jedi-mind-tricked into believing in artificial scarcity? Things like food and water are abundant, wasted every day. Touch and human connection should be abundant we are over 6 billion people on earth. Deprived of adventure because everything is made so safe and boring. How do I escape this mindset?
>>34076192We need to invent hyperdrive. That’s how we bust out.
>>34076192water abundance is complicatedultimately, water that remains in circulation (eg the water that runs through your pipes and into your shower and toilet) is mostly a closed and treated loop. water used for farming is a bit more complex due to the nature of run off, evaporation, rain water transport, and other factors, especially in areas that have very low humidity/precipitation (the rockies, midwest, southwest, etc for people in the US)water reservoirs that function as city water supplies for these cities is at a higher premium when it comes to how the water gets used.tldr flushing your toilet does nothing, but running your sprinkler system to water a lawn in Reno is basically going to kill the midwest in less than 50 years time and farm lobbies brainwashed kids in the 2000s into shaming their parents for taking 20min showers

>>34076334Will check.>>34076192What way do you mean about the abundant food tho? If we put heads together and cut the crap, there can be a lot of food, but if we reject society altogether and survive from hunting, farming, foraging, bartering, most of us would be in trouble.
