Please dont make fun of me. So I have an electric guitar with no amp and have been plucking at it consistently for about 2 months now, and I've only gotten some chords down. Cant name them but I think I can play them. All the charts filter me because I dont know where to place my fingers. I like placing my fingers in a shape and plucking at the strings individually (is this fingerstyle? 0_o) more because its easier to bring my (or rather a or ANY) sound out, but I want to learn chords too. I know their shapes and sound for the most part, but cant name them for the life of me. How do I get to the point where I make my own chords?

First you are going to have to learn the base chords. Don't get a massive complicated all the chords and all the voicings chart. Just get one with all the major and minor. You can also get charts that number your fingers and tell you which finger goes on which chord.

Something like this http://fingerstofrets.com/ but you want to use your pinky in most chords, not your index finger. Because eventually you'll want your index to play little accents.

Practice changing between chords. Pluck each string and make sure you aren't mutting any and they all ring true.

The goal is training your fingers to jump from point A to point B quickly and precisely. All 4 of them.

You're also going to want to do scales and learn a little music theory.
