The only reason I say ‘depends’ on what is depending on which = how difficult that task will be or how long. The feeling of being an alien human flesh ceases and afterwards you still feel outcast, sure, but you at least feel like a human one instead of an alien one at this point. And the funny thing happens where you are free to rejoin humanity and your sentence of outcast is completed, but you decide to just choose staying as you are anyway completely chill about it lol
