I hate it when my nose blocks one or both of its nostrils forcing me to breathe through my mouth.

Is there a biohack that will trick my nose onto opening itself?

I already tried blowing my nose, and it's like trying to suck a brick through a straw.

Nothing.

not that i know of. for me blowing only makes it worse, my nose is completely blocked since this morning and i can't find a single source of allergy (it's winter here)
the only solution that works is corticosteroid spray

Put all tongue on the roof and create vacuum chamber above. Not flow/suction, only a stagnant pressure differential between inlet and outlet. Like milk shake the tongue click. Force some breathing through shcnazzel while doing this. It is cool to have a neti pot or more modern type squeeze bottle rinse things, if you are into purchasing.

What helped me tremendously was actually taping my mouth shut during sleep and breathing through my nose during the day. I once read the book Breath by James Nestor and and just started mouth taping. As far as I remember he said in there that nose breathing is like training a muscle. The more you do it the easier it becomes in general and vice-versa. After doing it for a few weeks I never really had blocked nostrils.
Stopped doing it a few months ago, because I questioned its effectiveness. Will start again, because I am starting to have blocked nostrils again.

Its not a quick fix, but it worked very well for me.

Does your mouth get dry from having to breathe through it all the time? I be breathing then I remember I gotta close my mouth and when I do my tongue sticks to the roof of my mouth and I'm like ahhhhh.

Allergies? Eh, mine is from a bit of pneumonia that I got thanks to my roommates.

>corticosteroid spray

NTA but fluticasone nasal spray completely changed my life for the better. I was using Sudafed for congestion here and there but the steroid spray cleared up my congestion better and for longer and nearly all of my headaches resolved using this as well. I use as needed and cut the Sudafed use by about 95%

You only ever breath through one nostril. Each nostril has a sphincter that blocks them off when not in use. Your body switches autonomously ever 15-45 minutes. The purpose is to give the non-active nostril the time to "heal".

I swear to god this is not true.

At least one of my nostrils is almost always blocked at one time, although it switches around between them at times. The only way I can breathe through both is if I eat something that will clear them up, like something very hot.

It’s not too bad of a life since I don’t ever do any physically demanding work.

Well if you’re sick, not much you can do. Just breathe out of your nose as much as possible, keep your mouth closed

do 10 pushups
not kidding

Heat up water in a pot, hang a towel over your head and put your face in the steam

That's serious obstructive sleep apnea and you need to see an ENT to get a surgery to correct it. I did.
