If I work hard and become an accounting autist I'll still be able to beat out the competition against AI and make a good living, right?
>>34138071>AIDoesn't exist. Calling LLMs AI is marketing garbage. LLMs are awesome as long as you don't care about having the correct answer.
>>34138071Yes. It will be helpful for you personally too. You will be able to do your own taxes and cheat correctly if you run your own business.
>>34138071Yeah. I believe that many accountants do not so much account as they do help retarded business people and trust fund babies stay out of trouble by telling them what records to keep and crap like that. Very important work.

I was thinking about accounting, too. Are there any good tells that it'd be a good fit?
I did not get my CPA, I repeat, I am not a CPA.However, I've worked in office accounting for around 10 years now. For the most part, accounting is what you make it - i can't speak for CPA's where I think the "flashy" accounting takes place but I can say for my side of accounting, it's incredibly clerical. You like clerical work? Find yourself a place that will make you a salaryman and settle in. Fit's a big thing for offices.
>>34142480Sounds cool. Can I make 120k a year doing it?
>>34142541You can.. and quicker than I eventually will I'm guessing if you play it right
>>34142480>CPAs where flashy accounting work happensNo. It’s never flashy. It pays well, it’s respected. It can be enjoyable if you like seeing how business run, but it’s not flashy>>34142541Yes you can make 120k, relatively quickly. Either do public accounting and get your CPA, and then exit to industry after a couple of years, or go more of a high finance route/sought-after corporate finance FLDP. Accounting is the most versatile and stable business career.
