i want to try to be a vtuber, but i dont know Where and how can I find and create my own model, and in general, how to do this? I really want to, but I dont know how. Everyone says different things, and I dont know what to listen to.

I have many streamer friends. Most of them have 3 avg viewers for years.

Try asking in /3/

Why would people wanna become vtubers? Just seems like a pussy version of YouTuber/streamer, so how is that supposed to supercede it? Or is that extra layer of obstruction/hiding actually better because it's easier to swindle retards into simping? What do you get out of it though, money? A streamer at least has skill in the game usually, a YouTuber has expertise in whatever field they're in, what exactly does a vtuber have? Just sounds like extra degeneracy to me

3d models are easier and cheaper than 2d models but need more in the way of tracking hardware.

>If you want to make your own 2d model, the software you want is a program called live 2d. It's free I think? You need to be able to draw though.
>If you want to make your own 3d model, the software you will want is Blender or Vroid Studio. Both are free. Warudo (also free) can be used to animate it with your trackers. Vroid studio is great for people with no prior 3d modeling experience, but far more limited than Blender.
>for 3d models, you can also composite a model together from assets made for VR Chat or specifically for vtubers to use. Check the license of any assets. There are tons of free assets too.

The most important thing with vtubing, far more important than needing a model, is that you need to be entertaining. A lot of wannabe vtubers spend thousands on a professionally made model and are boring as shit to watch, so they have single digit viewer counts. Youtube recommended me some vtuber vods from a vtuber I never heard of with an extremely nice 2d model one time with actually zero views on the videos, and after watching a few minutes, I understood why they had so few viewers. Streaming is a performed art and you'll need to master that art, with or without the vtuber model. Try streaming without the model, or with a static drawing on the screen. Learn to use OBS (it's also free). Learn to interact with anyone who joins the stream. Accept that you will be streaming to zero viewers for a long time.
