There's a 18yo girl who's into me, and I'm 24. She's still in high school and I'm finishing college. The thing is, we have a lot of things in common and I kinda like her too. Am I a creep? How much of a bad idea is it going out with her?If the best thing to do is to get away from the situation, what would be the best way to do it?
>>34147474My first boyfriend had a friend in a very similar situation. They mocked him relentlessly. For what it's worth I think he's still married to the girl.
>>34147474It's the 1 in her age that is the problem. If she were 20 and you 26, no one would care. But if you can't wait that long, at least wait until she's out of high school. That IS creepy.
>>34147474>Am I a creep?Yes. And if you have a lot in common with an 18 year old, you must be worryingly immature.
>>34147474You're a creep but the results matter more than what someone thinks now. If you get really serious about it and lock that shit down and marry her you have an unspoiled wife you won't be able to get that again. If you just wanna hook up and drop her then you are creep to the bone.
>>34147516>>34147527>>34147528Ok lads, thanks for the input. I'm dropping out of this NOW. I'm very concerned.
>>34147529You made the right choice
>>34147529probably good because the likelyhood a 18 year old would want to get married is so low, you can barely get a 28 year old woman to have that mindset they all wanna wait till they are used up now
>>34147529I think that's the right call. The "half your age plus seven years" thing is a surprisingly good guideline as to what people find acceptable (even though people don't consciously think in those terms). If a girl is 18 and has just started college, people aren't very fazed by her dating a third or fourth year student; but if the guy is a tutor who is about to complete his PhD, that will be met with raised eyebrows. On the other hand, if she's a third year student, they'll probably say "okay" to that. And, like it or not, there is a big mental difference between a third year college student and someone who is still in high school. Also, like the other anon said, if you're 24 and you have a lot in common with a teenager, that says some unflattering things about your level emotional development: you *shouldn't* have anything in common with a teenager any more.
>>34147474I don't think its that bad, I remember a girl I liked when I was in highschool went out with a 24 year old and whilst I was pissed, I didn't think he was a creep. Also don't care what people think, that never helps anything.
>>34147474just fuck her who gives a shit. i dated a 16 year old for a while when i was 26 (legal in my country fuck off)
>>34147474How’d you meet her?
>>34147529>>34147558>>34147595I pray this exchange is mutual trolling, otherwise women have won.
