As I've said many times, rejection is an absolutely vital part of dating. Without rejection, the whole process necessarily fails.

I'm very happily married. Before meeting the woman I am married to, I rejected several women, and was rejected by a number of others. I also dated a number of women, and broke up with some, and others broke up with me. If any of those rejections and break-ups hadn't happened, instead of being happily married I would now be *unhappily* married.

The purpose of dating is to find someone you can be happy with, and who can be happy with you. Rejection is the thing that filters out all the people you wouldn't have been happy with. It's a vital part of the process of ending up happily married.
