Where in America should I move to if I want to be as safe as possible from crime and potential civil conflict in my country? Obviously away from cities but I don't want to live in a deep red area filled with militias either.
>>
>>34194722
Try New England.
Excluding Massachusetts. I'd go with Maine if I were you.
>>
>>34194722
I know you want to stay in the US but if you seek safety you must leave. The US isn’t safe. Period.
>>
>>34194722
Don't move to the states if you want to stay safe
>>
>>34194722
Maine, Montana or Wyoming. Literally no people or the people that are there are just white who's worst crime is meth.
>>
>>34194722
US is going through a shit period, we may see more BLM style protests and escalation too. Go to italy or something, and stop being afraid of crime, crime actually protects you when the victims of crime are clear (gangs and drug dealers for example, they don't usually mess with people and actively weed out petty robbers and scammers.)
>>
>>34194757
Also stay away from Texas, nothing like how it is portrayed in pop-culture. We've got a massive H1B Indian flooding problem that is supported by both political parties at the moment.
>>
>>34194728
>>34194737
In Europe it won't be much safer if shit hits the fan. At least in the US violence is practiced, here the natives still need to get the memo.
>>
>>34194765
You're not making any sense. Europe is far safer to begin with, and isn't unstable with shit about to hit the fan.

You’re in America, it’s a shithole in general, only safe place is alone in the wilderness, for awhile anyways
>>
>>34194722
Anyplace in America you might want to go to is safe. All the crime and civil unrest you hear about is limited to the least-desireable parts of some inner cities

This is not a real thing. People own guns but I have never encountered anything even close to resembling a militia, and if you do, it is 100% a fed honeypot.

Pure delusion, OP. These are people with blinders on the news reporting the protests and riots in misc European countries and are just on a kick for shitting on the US.

>>34195083
pretty much this.

>>34195746
this, too. Private gun ownership is also a serious share of ex, or active cops, and ex or active military, and they will shoot together alot but have zero interest in anything like a militia.

maybe as late as the 80s this was real because of lack of telecom infrastructure was still a reality, but not once cellphones and internet became a thing.

I don't believe red states are an issue. I believe media that horrorifies red necks is the issue. Lady, these challenge white trash people like me give you, aren't always situated on threats and violence. If you get that, it usually is from the wrong crowd. You'll meet wrong crowds everywhere you are in life. We're actually more like the Scottish and Irish than actually horrible people.
>>
>>34194722
move to a village in france.
>>
>>34198359
Red states are poor and purposely stuck 20 years behind the blue states. Maybe not in the cities but I hate cities. If you're from a blue state it looks like a horrible way to live.

Don't move to my nice, agrariain, right wing, culturally homogeneous, high trust society unless you plan on integrating culturally. If you want to vote left, stay in your high crime lefty containment zone.

>protests and riots in misc European countries
Such as? Can you give one specific example that's not a twitter screenshot from /pol/?
>>
>>34199947

sure, but you're basically having to only get news from tik, insta, or your own twitter/bluesky bubble to have missed all the protests about Palestine, some turning to riots.

But maybe you missed all the civil riot in France over govt policies (they tried to characterize them as far-right somehow.)
https://www.reuters.com/world/europe/block-everything-protests-sweep-across-france-scores-arrested-2025-09-10/
>The "Block Everything" movement - a broad expression of discontent that has spread on social media - sprang up online in May among right-wing groups but has since been co-opted by the left and far-left.

There's more, and its not hard to find. Europe isn't some post-modern civic paradise compared to the US, like so many people are deluded into thinking by shallow considerations.
>>
>>34194722
I don't think you have much to worry about regarding "deep red" areas with militias. Reality isn't really like that here.
Stay out of NYC, LA and maybe Chicago.
>>
>>34200078
Yeah Switzerland and Canada can actually be dangerous places like the U.S.
>>
>>34194722
Right-wing militias aren't really a thing outside of the southeast heavy forest areas like Arkansas. I've lived in Oklahoma my whole life (NW and Central) and the worst crime I've been a victim of is a stolen wallet. Just be aware that tech jobs are not nearly as prevalent in rural areas.

Maine is a decrepit badland full of alcoholics and drug addicts.
>>
>>34198332
As someone that lived there for decades and then left, can say it is for sure a shithole
And been back to visit, it’s trash
Vile, garbage everywhere, junkies, arrogant (much like your ill informed reply), self centered lazy and unintelligent, except in the cities where education happens

Between gun violence, violence from drug addicts, the uneducated, political violence it’s mental.
Imagine not having to deal with ANY of that, having amazing health care, cost of living is way lower, pay is higher, more freedoms, and the murder rate in a fraction of a percentage…
So yeah, it’s a shithole
>>
>>34194722
Laredo Texas has 0,4% black population, one of the lowest in the USA, so its one of the safest and most family friendly out there, according to my 5 second research.
>>
>>34201924

Since you didn't actually share where you went to, let alone offer OP any guidance, we can only guess on how to compare where you fucked off to and decide if its actually better.
>>

I’ll narrow it down for you
It’s one of the 17 counties that are doing way better and have more freedoms

Blue states are the safest and smartest way to go
They make the money to help support the red states that can’t do it, they are also the smartest states, along with having the best healthcare and pay.
Along the coasts are also the best, close to centers of education and cultural centers as well

I thought Idaho was safe. Sounds like everyone there is armed. Ida. is a very white state (believe it is very low crime).
>>
>>34195746
>I have never encountered anything even close to resembling a militia
you must not drive or walk around in the country for fun, they're out there. like with signs and private gun ranges and compounds and everything. I didn't see any when I lived in Pennsylvania, but I didn't leave the city much. Did when I lived in Ohio, Oregon, Georgia and Michigan (I move as often as my job allows).
>>
>>34204582
>believe it is very low crime
you're dead wrong.
>>
>>34194722
If youre just trying to move away from your crime riddled country then anywhere in the US will do outside of shitty neighborhoods in major cities.
If you're trying to avoid crime in the US then go to somewhere in New England or upper Midwest
>>
>>34194722
Maine. Population is primarily American Europeans (white) so people there behave themselves and are very civil.
>>
>>34199832
We've got rape gangs up here too.
>>
>>34194722
It's coming for everyone, anon. Doesn't matter what country you live in.

Increasingly impotent politicians are serving as the vehicle for what is essentially a global corporate takeover. When it's complete, everyplace will be managed like a corporation. We might be called citizens, but we'll be functionally employees. Healthcare will become a luxury. Property ownership too. We will work longer hours at increasingly menial jobs. Our lives will be shorter.

It won't be cinematic. There won't be a war. The stuff you see on the news is scary and tragic, but it's also inflated by a sensationalist media apparatus hungry for clicks.

When the actual takeover is complete, it won't feel like domination. It will feel like a continuation of the old system, under more efficient management. You'll wake up one day and think to yourself, "Shit, I don't want to pick up more hours, but I need this premium iPhone subscription so I can keep in touch with mom and dad."
>>
>>34200078
You literally get all your news of outside your basement from /pol/ virgin tier twitter screenshots. The one legit article is about French protests that happen every week. A total nothingburger. No one gets shot and there is no political unstability. No sub 80 IQ wannabe dictator whose obedient cultist worshippers cheer him on as he takes away all their freedoms.
>>
>>34194722
montana is prophecised to be safe.
as well as utha
>>
>>34204959
this is true, but there is always the choice between slavery and freedom.
these societies in their 15 minute cities (first of all there will be more earthquakes and natural disasters) will not last long either. why more natural disasters? technology of humanity tilts the equilibrium of the earth. as the tech is not advanced enough and the knowledge about it is neither, people call effects caused by our tech as natural disasters.
in essence this anon is correct for those who do not go for complete off-grid lifestyle. this is the plan, at least.
also... the prophecies... i mean... there are many... they only come true as long as you let them. they are meant as a warning, not as a guide. but they become a guide if people get superstitious.
>>
>>34205751
Living off the grid is ideal if you want to live longer, feel healthier, and serve no one. Those are really noble and rewarding things in their own right. (Although if you get sick or injured, or nature decides to wipe out your harvest, you're fucked.)

But I want to live in the world man created - art and culture mean more to me most other things. It's just a shame that those things are being wiped out by anti-intellectualism and AI.

are you american? if so these maps never show population density and red states in particular rely on the income of blue states to function. blue states are also better educated on average, there's a reason confederates lost the war. stupid ass hicks
>>

>crime
That's literally everywhere.
It's America. It's an open air prison you retard
>civil unrest
That's no where.
It's America, they are fucking retarded and unable to organize, the politics are all for children and don't matter.

>militias
Those don't fucking exist. Gun nuts will never fire one, it's just a collection hobby.
