Thinking about converting from Christianity to Islam. Know anyone who has done this?
>>
>>34202373
Why?
>>
>>34202376
For personal and moral reasons and to have a closer relationship with God.
>>
>>34202373
>Know anyone who has done this?
2 boys from the class that were reading clocks in year 10
wish i was joking
>>
>>34202394
>reading clocks in year 10

What the hell do you mean "reading clocks in year 10"
>>
>>34202373
>Know anyone who has done this?
Yes, he's now getting zutted by Jeets.

Have you studied Christianity well enough to draw conclusions about the possible advisability of converting to Islam?
>>
>>34202516
I think so I I'm always open to more information. What do you think I should know?
>>
>>34202526
I think you need to know EVERYTHING about Christianity (I'm serious) before jumping to conclusions about its possible invalidity. That is, I'm convinced that a person (at least I) should study Christianity 100% (no less), so that not a single unclear question (of anything comprehensible to the human mind) remains. Only then can one draw a conclusion about the validity or invalidity of Christianity compared to Islam.
I've simply experienced miraculous events (miracles) in my life that confirmed the truth of Christianity. I won't describe them, as I can't provide you with evidence in a thread; and it's reasonable not to trust words.
But I know a way to empirically verify the truth of Christianity. Saint Ephraim the Syrian (if I'm not mistaken) wrote in his commentary on the Four Gospels that in order to RECEIVE the beatitudes (promised in the Sermon on the Mount), one must fulfill the commandments to perfection.
For example, one must be the most rational "alms-giver" and achieve perfection in this—and you will be shown mercy;
One must achieve the utmost purity of heart—and you will "see God." And so on.
The difficulty (for me) now is that to properly understand and fulfill the commandments, one must deeply study the works of the Holy Fathers (up to and including 799 AD). In short, if you haven't achieved perfect fulfillment of at least some of the commandments, you cannot say that you have experienced the failure of Christianity.
P.S. There's a comprehensive Christian commandment: "Therefore, in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this is the Law and the Prophets (Matthew 7:12)." Have you already achieved perfection in fulfilling it? Just answer honestly.

You shouldn't do that. There are many Islamic teachings that are disgusting. I'm sure you can find them.

I don't need to know EVERYTHING about Christianity to find another way to worship God.
>>
>>34202601
Are you formally studying Islam?
>>
>>34202596
I've been a Christian for 38 years and I've learned enough to consider switching religions.
>>
>>34202607
I said that one must know everything about Christianity that the human mind can know (to the best of its ability). You say no.

But how can one, without knowing Christianity, draw conclusions about its inadequacy? How can one claim that YOU CAN find the right way to worship Him BY YOURSELF, ignoring God's COMPLETE teaching about Himself and how to worship Him?

If you say you're thinking about converting to Christianity, then you're a Christian and believe in God. If you believe in God, then you believe that His teaching is the absolute Truth.

Therefore, if there is a teaching that is the absolute Truth, it must be known COMPLETELY and PERFECTLY. And to claim that you can find the right way to worship God yourself, without a perfect knowledge of God's own teaching on worship, is to claim that you are a failure as a Christian.
Therefore, I believe that you need to study Christianity thoroughly in order to draw conclusions about its validity or invalidity, combining theory (the study of the commandments) with their implementation.

I've been a Christian for 999 years and I know everything about you.
(I'm saying this because you can write whatever you want, I just don't believe you.)

>>34202438
they mean were retarded and couldnt tell the time on a clock until 10th grade of school
>>
>>34202641
Have I upset you?
>>
>>34202656
>>34202394

It sounds more like the parents and teachers failed the students by neglecting to teach a fundamental skill at an earlier age; not like the students are necessarily retarded, tho.

Just because of this comment I'm not reading those huge faggy paragraphs and I'm closing the thread and doubling down on Islam.
Is everyone on this board usually so pig-headed and intentionally rude?
