Should I move to Ireland or Scandinavia?
>>34203317Ireland doesn’t want you.
>>34203325I heard otherwise from my travel advisor
>>34203317try both and decide
>>34203334I like this idea
>>34203317i dont live in scandivania but in finland (so this applies to the northern half of scandivania) and i have to say i really like the weather in this part of europe. the summer can go up to 30 celcius which is too hot for me, while the winter can go down to -30 celcius, which isnt that bad with the right clothing. the lack of sunlight during winter is VERY depressing though. cant really speak for any other aspects of scandivanian living.ireland has the benefit of being part of the anglo world, so it might be a bit closer to the cultural upstream, if that's important to you.
>>34203329Your travel advisor is not watching the news, or shilling for the juice. Just quit arguing and go to Scandinavia. They deserve you.
>>34203347Okay, I'll remember this
please come and fuck our women
>>34203317Have you tried Nigeria? I hear good things.
>>34203418Here's your (You)>>34203398With pleasure

>>34203317I live in Norway. I assume you're American. If you come here for anything else than having a family and raising your kids, you're gonna be severely disapointed. That's the only thing Norway is truly about. That and hiking / skying in nature. There is no street food. There is no food culture, all items in the stores are generic and industrial. There is no local traditions / culture outside of the costume they wear during wedding and national day. Hobbies and clubs are meant for teenagers or students. Anything you want to do outside of ski/hike/climb is gonna be very difficult because you won't find a specialty store and it will be ultra expensive to import stuff, when it's even allowed (you want a battery for your arduino? you want dev chemicals for analog photo? you want grass fed isolate whey? not in Norway). In general, Norwegians see anything creative or different as unnecessary. If you are a man all the clothing stores are the same with a different name, selling the same generic clothing. Thrift stores are insanely expensive, think 60 dollars for a second hand sweater. You will not have Norwegian friends. Like, it's not impossible, just highly unlikely, because here friendships are formed during studies. Your colleagues at work are not your friends and don't hang out after work, basically ever.If this is ok with you, here are the good sides. Works are paid well and come with 5 weeks of vacation. Healthcare is free and everything is quite new. It is a great place to have a child, they will let you leave early at work and theres like 6 month of leave both for the mother and father. People are productive, mind their business and will leave you alone at work. Water is life changing (you will not be able to drink tap water anywhere else). There is state owned cabins everywhere that you can rent for dirt cheap and hike to. Streets are ridiculously safe even if you are a woman. That's basically it. Leaving in Oslo mitigate downside and upsides.

>>34208923I hear you. I just hate America... idk. I'm tempted to disappear into Svalbard
>>34203317That's actually some nice art. I have to learn how to do something like that.
