Every male in my family is bald and I'm about to join them before my 30th. I've buzzsawed my long hair to do damage assessment and it's the worst kind, that is sides and rear remain while top is thinning out. I have hard time letting it go, it's cold, it's ugly, it's not me. Any tips on digesting it through?
With every day that goes by, it will look more normal. It might take a while if you've never buzzed before, but you will get used to it eventually. The worst thing you can do is overthink it and do something rash in the first week. If a month goes by and you still can't stand it, maybe consider a different look, but don't complain if you haven't tried it for some time. The only way to make it you is to own it fully.
>>34209745Yeah literally who the hell cares. My hair has been thinning and receding, but now I get more 18 year old QUALITY pussy than I ever have. I just keep it short. Women really don't care that much, you are just being indoctrinated from social media with a bunch of retarded ass "women logic" posts that have hardly any basis in reality. Just don't think about it too much. My advice is to think of yourself as just having more testosterone and not appealing to the brainwashed women who value submissive kpop men who add nothing to society. I know it sounds retarded, but sometimes you just gotta retardmax and it works. If every male in your family is married, there is some anecdotal evidence that you will be fine.I truly think the anti-balding propaganda is a new thing to diminish the value of high-test men. Balding, as a trait, has been around ever since humans have existed. If it truly was such a indicator of low genetic fitness, it wouldn't have stuck around. Of course, you do get some malnourished people who lose their hair, but it is easy to identify those who are genetically weak vs just bald. This of course will take time. I used to take hella pictures of my head everyday to see how much worse it has been getting and now, I just rock my hair.
>>34209745Wear it with pride. Make it part of your style.
>>34209813>The only way to make it you is to own it fully.Worst thing is it's being taken away from me for no fault of my own. I took care with my hair, same way I worked hard to have my job and be fit and healthy.>>34209954I think the only difference is that a hypothetical version of me with a normal level of testosterone would have less hair in the ass.>>34211422Having hair is the embodiment of style, haircuts can be similar but no hair and face is the same. Honestly can't think of single person that would look better without hair, pic rel.
Well, if you're not willing to take DHT blockers, then just go bald or rock a balding look. No shame in that.Even if you consider hair transplant, you will still need dht blockers. Otherwise the same mechanisms that made you bald in the first place, will make you bald again. Except now you'll have a huge scar in the back of the head, like Joe Rogan.I've been pre-emptively taking finasteride for 4 years now, since my family has some bald men and i love medium-long hair. So far so good. But I'm not going to lie - losing hair is a truly distressing thing. I've seen some of my bros really sad for being completely bald at 22. It sucks, for sure. But you'll get over it. And sooner than later this won't matter anymore. All this "it's great being bald" is alright. It's a cope, sure, but it isn't a bad thing. Lots of guys are bald and they live very normal lives.I wish you the best anon.
>>34212493Joe Rogan had it done with old method. Nowadays there are no scars or barbie doll hair. Also, I've heard people saying hair not from the top is testosterone resistant and therefore protected after transplant. As for any meds, I'll be seeing my dermathologist soon, I'll wait for what he has to say. Now it's hairstyle damage control I guess. And yeah, thanks for the good luck.
You're getting old, and getting old means eventual death. Accepting that is acknowledging an unavoidable part of life. Your mind and body will fail, sending you back to the nothingness from before your birth.
>>34209745if you're worried about vanity, you should know there are plenty of other ways to appear attractive which will completely outshine baldnessbut also, you can wear a hat or wig, or get surgery if you mustultimately, there's more to life, and you should focus on other things rather than trying NOT to think about baldness, if that makes sensegood luck dude
