To make a long story short, my girlfriend of two years out of nowhere dropped a nuke on me that she wasn't happy and thought we weren't compatible and said she wanted a break for a few months for therapy. no fights, super happy together up until the day. she said she wanted to see me while on break to check in but the next day she stopped replying to me and has for the last two months never messaged me.I'm kinda pissed since now it's not clear to me if we're on break, still exclusive, am I doing the wrong thing moving on, going on a date etc. I matched with a girl online who I have a lot in common with, she's going out of town next week for a new job so we talked about getting dinner and making out at my place after before she leaves. There's zero expectation of a relationship and we're on the same page.I can't see myself taking my ex back given how disrespectful pretending to want a break and then ghosting immediately is but I feel like I'm walking a moral line seeing someone else. I have a tendency to make my moral judgements based on how others will use my actions as a weapon so I'm aware the answer is that I should move on given her behavior but looking for a second opinion.
>>34212440I won't read yet another "how should I feel" thread because they are posted by subhuman morons who need an instruction manual about what to think and feel, as if that isn't something each capable person couldn't decide for himself.
>>34212532bad title I guess, I'm looking for moral/ethical judgement.
>>34212440"take a break" is code for "I found someone better than you - but I'll use that phrase so you'll hang around if it doesn't work out for me."> am I doing the wrong thing moving onShe's not yours, it was just your turn. She's moved on, you should move on too. If you go back to her it's like reading the same book again and hoping for a different ending.>she's going out of town next weekthat sucks, but that happens. Keep hunting for others, you should have an idea by now what you want in a partner. Don't waste time - date with intention.
>>34212440This is a situation where thinking about what is "right" or "wrong" isn't helpful. All you should be thinking about is what will make you happy. And I think you know the answer to that.
