Any techniques? tips? (of course i know about calorie deficit) but how do you manage the urge to eat bullshit? i'm trying to build up discipline by resisting the longest possible each dayDo you think building up discipline (kinda like a muscle) is a good way? do you have other ideas?
Living in a very abusive home and frequently being deprived of food as punishment.
>>34215121How fat are you
>>34215149246 pounds for 5'9or 112 kg for 175 cm
there's a /fat/ general on >>>/fit/ (or so I've heard)
>>34215170Ya I was about the same and the only thing that worked was eating approx a handful of mixed nuts a day amd calorie free beverages. Lost about 40lbs in 3 months. Didn't feel great. Started a "regular" diet again but really watching portion sizes keeping it below 1800cals a day and gained about 10lbs over maybe a 6 month period and then it leveled off. Im also a bit older so im sure that doesnt help
>>34215170Very fixable. /fit has some good info if you learn to ignore the trolling
>>34215121I went from being clinically obese to getting abs in about a year. Now I'm working on gaining more muscle mass. What worked for me was creating a mealplan and sticking to it. Create a mealplan and calculate not just the calories, but the protein/fat/carbs too. Then stick to it - eat ONLY what is on the mealplan. Do not try to free-hand things and use a calorie tracker - you will just make your life miserable and it isn't even effective. The mealplan is the most important thing for losing weight, but you should also be going to the gym and lifting. Find a PPL program and start. Honestly if you can buy a set of dumbbells and a bench, you can do basically everything at home, and it's way easier to be motivated when you don't have to drive 15-20 min to the gym.Good luck man. For me, it's life before and after weight loss. I'm reasonably muscular now and there's a huge increase in attention from women. It feels pretty good desu my dating life is better than it ever was before
>>34215121Never fucked around with fasting or intermittent fasting or keto or carnivore or vegan or ozempic or mounjaro or any other temporary meme diet or weight loss drugs or anything. One of the easiest ways to not eat bags of trash, is to not have bags of trash laying around the house. Chocolate, ice cream, soda, snack cakes, candy, energy drinks, chips, gas station beef jerky, candy bars, etc.If you don't buy them and don't bring them into your life, you're not going to eat a whole bag of whatever. The second biggest thing was also cutting out anything was less obvious junk but moreso microwave-tier slop even if it a lot of it went int the toaster oven. Any sort of pre-made frozen pizza, chicken nuggets, taquitos or burritos or general tao or big beefman meals and anything else that came frozen in a tiny plastic tray. it's all sugar and sodium and a million calories.Third was learning how to cook for myself. I mostly just do basic rice & ground pork with whatever vegetables and then shuffle around dry spices every other week.Again this isn't a diet, it's me permanently changing my eating habits. Finally was just to get -some- exercise everyday. Just walking around for 20 minutes is objectively better than not doing anything at all.
only drank watalearned how to fastate everything I normally did but less
Carnivore/keto and 18/6 fasting (basically means skip breakfast) checking in. Works great. That said, if you have zero willpower, nothing will work.
>>34215121Keto diet made a huge difference for me.
>>34215121I never got fat fat but I weighed 45 pounds more than I do now. I panicked and developed an eating disorder. Don't recommend it.
Losing weight is actually very "easy", it's a shame that shows like Biggest Loser or that viral Chinese fatcamp tiktok make it seem like it's going to be some terrible ordeal that takes hours in the gym and divine levels of willpower to achieve.More than anything else, you just need to get used to feeling slightly "down", and with a "pit" in your stomach. After 1-3 days of gaslighting yourself, you'll feel weird if you don't have that slight hungry feeling, if that makes sense. As another anon said, you need to make a meal PLAN, and stick to it. Don't post facto log your calories and try to guess things, plan out your meals, and log your weight daily. Using skills picked up in pre-algebra, you can then adjust your calorie intake to achieve your desired level of weight loss. That's the entire game.Unlike other suggestions, you do not have to step foot in a gym at all, although getting 8000 - 15000 steps a day consistently is a cheat code. Most phones now automatically log your step count so there is no excuse anymore. 10K steps is like 90 minutes of deliberate walking, it seems like a lot but if you just break it up and add 5 mins here and there you'll automatically get it.Last, if you get hungry, realize that hunger comes in waves. Make yourself a mint or herbal tea if it's really bad, but otherwise just distract yourself and let the feeling passover, you'll be back to normal baseline in like 10-15 minutes.GL, fat people are disgusting and the fewer the better.
>>34215121Starvemaxx, cardiomaxx and pull up good looking fit people on your phone constantly whenever you think of eating.Or just don't be a pussy and take DNP.
>>34215121I lost 55 lbs last year. I don't eat out at all unless I can get plain chicken or hard boiled eggs at the gas station or supermarket. Like no restaurants, takeout bullshit. Just cooking meat and eggs at home. I have certain snacks that satisfy bad food urges. Seltzer for beer/soda, pork rinds for chips, some sugar free keto desert recipes for sweets. Basically give in to eating but only eat good stuff. Like eat some eggs if you are hungry. I drink a shit load of black coffee and take caffeine pills sometimes too. Exercise will help but diet makes a bigger impact in the beginning.
>>34215121Eating once a day under 2000 calories a day no never I don't exercise and have high acid reflux due to drinking, smoking and lack of a consistent diet as it's mostly sandwiches.
>>34215121Less carbs, more protein. You artificially starve your body with bread and noodles.
>>34215951This is it. You have to just get used to being uncomfortable. Being fat is just being addicted to always being sated and that's just not realistic if you want a nice body
>>34215121Former fatty ~200lbsThe biggest thing was cutting all slop from my life and cooking my own food with real fresh ingredients.Never skip breakfast.Increase my protein intake. Now I'm around 130 lbs, and I'm small woman with BMR of 1200.Modern food is calorie dense with low satiety, designed to make you addict on it.Cut the cycle, be thin.
>>34215229>there's a huge increase in attention from women. It feels pretty good desu my dating life is better than it ever was beforeWere you always fat?
>>34215951This guy knows, walking makes a huge difference in fat usage
>>34215121I was never fat fat, just pushing overweight but I would mentally psyop myself into not liking soda or candy mostly by asking myself what flavor it really was or telling myself it tasted weird/bland. After a week or so I would find it aversive and just stop eating it entirely. Calorie counting never worked for me because I’m a coward who’s scared of accountability so wouldn’t log it after I overrate. Intermittent fasting just makes you eat more during that period that you actually can eat. Also resisting eating like that won’t work, you’ll just use up all your motivation and binge eat. Motivation is a limited resource. You should instead set up a meal routine. Discipline is mostly just routine.
>>34217954I was thin in high school and college and I got some attention for sure. Then I got fat in my 20's. Then I hit the gym and got shredded and muscular. That's when attention peaked the most. It changed my face a lot; it's wider and more aggressive looking, like the muscles on my jaw (mandibles?) grew. Also my testosterone doubled. I suspect women unconsciously pick up on those differences, maybe that's the increase in attention
>>34215229Not OP but I have a question.I'm a picky eater, picky as fuck, I just refuse to eat vegetables because my body rejects them, I hate the smell, texture, flavor, I just cannot get them into my mouth but I do get vitamins on pills. I know it's not ideal but hey, I'm still alive. Are there any mealplans for shitty picky eaters like me?I also ride bike a lot.
