I'm a NEET who has been NEET for four years. I've also been diagnosed with depression and asperger and i have been taking SSRIs (Syndromes) for three years, which make me feel unmotivated and drowsy. My schedule is a mess; I go to bed at 7 a.m. and wake up at 5 p.m. I'd like to read books, but I lack the motivation. I'd also like to start a YouTube channel about various topics and learn Blender Low Poly to earn some money. In December, I was helping my mom with housework; she paid me $80 a month. She's basically the one who does everything at home and provides financial support. My mom has fibromyalgia as a result of depression and also takes medication. She basically has the same lifestyle as me.
>>34252934I'm 30 and currently wrapping up my Bachelor's degree online. I can't speak for actual campus experiences since I do it all remotely but I haven't had any issues. If you want a good job to go along with your online classes I'd recommend becoming a night-shift security guard. The work is very easy and you'll have plenty of time to study or browse 4chan (which is exactly what I'm doing now).
>>34252934Im 36 and want to go back to school
>>34253003thank you for this thoughtful response anon, your efforts in themselves are honorable
>>34253003Thanks, I'm the OP. If you have it, I'd like to have your discipline to start studying.>>34253005I want to study so I can have human contact; I haven't left my house since December.

>>34252934No, kek
>>34253138>I'd like to have your discipline to start studying. There isn't a lot of studying in college, it's mostly about turning in homework on time and doing what the professor asks. Obviously you study for tests and finals, but the challenge mostly comes from managing your time and paying attention to instructions. It might be because I am so old but I have a 4.0 GPA and have very rarely felt challenged at college, and I rarely study either.
>>34253184I agree. Studying the actual textbook is a waste of time.
as a person who’s not in uni i feel the same way like it’s too late. i don’t even know what to pick as a major. i did one year of CS and dropped out absolutely hated it. i got no passion in life and dont do shit.
>>34253241Do something you want to do. At least you can socialise there.
>>34252934College isn't just for 18 year olds anymore. At 21 you will be among the youngest people there
