Is it worth cancelling a $10 subscription I don't really need? Will it really make a difference for my finances?
>>34268934Yeah.
Call the fuckers and cancel, don't support the cancer economy.>just one more sub bro
>>34268934>Is it worth cancelling a $10 subscription I don't really need? Yes.>Will it really make a difference for my finances? Absolutely!
>>34269035I cannot quote for shit but yes, it will make a big difference in your finances, 10$ is a lot.
>>34268934$10 a month is $120 a year$120 can buy you a whole new set of socks and underwear, take out a girl on a nice date, or just save it
It's probably best to avoid any subscription or live services. For media, my solution was to get a 64TB Storage NAS, pay 2 months for a torrent-friendly VPN, download 45TB of stuff that i've found slightly interesting, then cancelling it.Now i don't have to worry about not owning things or perpetually renting stuff.I encourage others to do the same. This subscription model sucks ass. They always start quite nice, then they'll introduce new costly tiers, degrade basic experience and eventually jack up the prices. It's only a matter of time before they start colluding and becoming fixed-price cartels. The whole situations is already comically bad.I'm not a serf or a drug addict. Sorry. I'll pay for shit if i'm owning it, i'll even be willing to be ripped off. But if i'm renting, then i better hope there's a really good reason why.Otherwise it's a hard pass and i'll look elsewhere.Sorry for the rant, i just hate this subscription bullshit. Just charge me $500 and let me own the thing for my lifetime and do whatever the fuck i want.
>>34268934What is the subscription for?
>>34268934Yeah. You can put that 120 a year into investments and really benefit over time.
>>34270089It's actually my phone plan, I'm thinking about going from my grandfathered postpaid unlimited for $35, to prepaid 5gb for $16. So it's a $19 savings. The thing is I can't get that plan back once I do. But I have other sources of unlimited data even though I only used 4gb last month. Most americans are spending significantly more than me already so it may seem like penny pinching.
>>34268934no it absolutely will not>>34269909>$120 can buy you a whole new set of socks and underwear, take out a girl on a nice date, socks and underwear sure. but no way you're doing a date on that, and even if you did, one extra nice date a year isn't shit>>34272019>put that 120 a year into investments and really benefit over time.$120/year in any investment isn't gonna be shit. even if you get 50x multiplier (s&p over 45 years) that's $6000. can't get shit with $6000. that's like one oral surgerypeople in this thread are waaay overstating how much money this is
