I'd been working 6 and a half days a week, 12 hours for 6 days, 4 on Sunday.I made a comment that they need to hire people. I was written up for disrespect and told I wasn't working there anymore.I'm being told that I don't get unemployment because they have me down as a walk off. What are my options?
>>34269069Get fired on purpose. Come hours late, don't do your work, mouth off to your supervisors. If they fire you then they have no choice but to offer unemployment, if they keep you then you can enjoy knowing you can do whatever you want and have job security.
>>34269069> told I wasn't working there anymore. How exactly did they say this? Did they say you were officially fired? Or did they just say something that sounds like it? If you thought they fired you but they didn’t and you left, then it might be considered walking off of the job. If they really told you that you were fired and then don’t want to pay unemployment insurance, then you could hire a lawyer and try to fight it.
