You're using the game as a form of escapism while simultaneously tying your self-worth to your performance. I used to do the same thing until I realized I have major depressive disorder that was manifesting as anger and sought help. My advice would be to take frequent breaks from the game the moment you start feeling angry from it. Gaming is supposed to be leisure. Another piece of advice is to stay away from Elo based multiplayer games, they are cancer for your brain and are designed to drip feed you wins to keep you playing.

Alright Noob, listen up.

What you want to do is focus on time played rather than intensity. It takes time to learn a new skill and "get good". If you are taking on such a high level of intensity right away, you will quickly get overwhelmed and "burn out". On the other hand, when intensity is too low, you will feel bored and want to do something else instead. The key is to hit that sweet spot in between where this thing caled "fun" exists. It is where things are intense enough to not be boring, but not so intense that you crash out and rage quit. Then you want to stay in that zone for as long as possible, so that you are enjoying the game while also getting better at the same time.

TL;DR: Git gud noob GLHF GG no re

It's called "not growing up." At some point an adult finds things more meaningful than video games to get upset about
>>
Hey OP, I used to have the same issue and this anon >>34270111 is spot on. If this is also you, playing itself isn't the problem, it's a mechanism for avoiding having to deal with it because at some point your brain learned to dissociate itself from things as a protective measure.

Find the reason why you even have 2hr of free time to play video games and eliminate than reason. It's that simplistic.
