Does Jesus care about brown people like myself? It doesn't feel like it at all.
The real Jesus cares about everyone equally. Republican Jesus is a different story. I’m not a Christian though.

Religion isn't viewed as a person to person case basis but as societal agent that allows for social reproduction and communal continuation. Christian flourished as a western political agent because it deviated itself from the debauchery of Roman promiscuity while keeping jurisprudence and civility in cosmopolitan society. Same with Islam, Confucianism or Hinduism. History tells us of cyclical cycles of society ruin to recovery to prosperity to debauchery which religion plays a central concept in these epochs. Religion works when you see communities and countries engaging in social relations such as peace, trade or even war as long as society reproduces itself like how cells reproduce in your body. Then again, I assume you're a brown person living in a white country and this choice is up to you but if you stay christian, your forever going to be a pariah that exist outside of their cultural periphery with no community to find solace and communion with. That's maybe why you experience this sense of self-hatred as a christian brown person because christianity in the west was born out of caste hierarchies from Spain and bible belt evangelicals that view Jesus as some "white" hellenic phoenician and that episteme affects society as a superstructure. With Islam, you have a community of like-skinned individuals that does not share the same episteme as predominant whites while still maintaining that sense of racial pride you can in yourself rather that delve into this self hatred commonly seen in brown christians because of total depravity

The common perceived cognition of Jesus is white, that's how western society framed him and reproduced the image of Jesus as man. I continued that here up until I went to college, and even back then I felt very cut off from community even though the church and people here were very liberal and tried to include me in things (most of the time I didn't want to go).I've been to Muslim functions several times throughout the years and it only looks less and less appealing to me each time.
