Clean slate, wipe it out of your thoughts.You really should try to learn it quick, speaking from experience; it will not only spare you embarrassment, but it may also spare you from some really weird needless resentment and self-resentment down the line. You can do as you want though, but take it from me - I haven't had a hug from a non-related woman in 17 years - and by learning to consider basically everybody innately hostile regardless of their behavior I kinda feel fine most days.
