Company lost a major tech support contract we had for 5 years which has been the bulk of our workload daily. We are now at the handover phase to the new guys and I'm depressed upon hearing the news. The connections and specific skillsets for this contract I had built up over the years are now meaningless. I actually enjoyed the work and the worse part is the handover itself instead of a clean break.

I wasn't expecting to feel similar to going through a breakup and now I'm worried about the future with this change

I don't understand. Just get a new job? Is it your own company?

If losing a client is having this big an impact on you and it's not your company, you might be working too much.
