How badly did I fuck up with this life path and how do I salvage it?>go to college to get a BS in chemistry and try for med school>spent 2 years trying to get to med school and failed twice cuz retarded AuDHD memory (got baited into med school by tiger narcissist asian parents)>parents recommend I go to law school>3 years pass, took bar exam last year, failed>managed to land an insurance job for a year, got laid off before almost committing self mynecraft cuz I couldn't handle being a cagie wagie>took bar exam again last month and waiting on results>all my peers are vastly ahead of me and have richer parents too and my parents rub it in my face daily>applied to hundreds of jobs in the past 6 months, anything remoted related to MBA or JD descriptions like contract manager, bank examiner, compliance, etc., all ghosted meI feel like I could've made it better if I just worked at walmart these past 10 years instead of getting baited into all this higher ed shitAnyway, what do I do now? parents are about to finally lose it and kick me out but they don't want the shame of telling their friends their son is a loser so they're just barely holding their anger back.Obviously can't move out in this economy
>>34326967>anything remoted related meant anything remotely related, didn't mean remote job. I'll take anything in office out of it at this point. Also wanna clarify, I know I'm retarded and I don't assign all the blame to my parents but it is what it is.
>>34326967My parents do that shit to me and I'm white.6 years of college and eventually i just settled into the lowest form of consulting engineering because the job market is fucked. Your education would not get you into those positions you basically need to work up rrom the lowest level entry positions possible and changing job every three years to advance.
>>34326967First of all, forget about being "behind" others. You can VERY quickly catch up once you get going.Second, think sideways. You say you'd take on any office job. That is exactly what to look for - ANY white collar job that sounds remotely bearable. Forget whether it's law-related - does it make use of the skills you developed while studying law?You are better than most people at reading and absorbing enormous amounts of data, at seeing connections between what at first seem different things, at presenting your ideas in writing and speech, etc.It really doesn't matter WHAT data you work with - if you can search legal precedents you can search historical records; if you can spot the connection between one legal case an another you can analyse lab data, and so on.Think of what you can do and look for jobs that want someone who can do that.
>>34327346Thanks What job titles should I be looking for do you think? I'm not sure if my area has no jobs or if I'm just shit at searching. There weren't even any warehouse openings near me
>>34326980Whites and Asians seem to get fucked the most in modern basedciety.Standards are so high for us yet the ladder to those standards was pulled up before us
i don't understand OPyou spent the entire post talking about what other people want, and not a single word about what you want to do. Could that not be the reason? Like where are you in all this? You're male, meaning you have agency. You're asian and have a chemistry degree, meaning you're at least employable, and perhaps interested in the hard/natural sciences? why don't you just go with that?
>>34326967>>all my peers are vastly ahead of me and have richer parents too and my parents rub it in my face dailystop talking to your parents
your parents are trying to kill you, whether they realize it or notjust stop talking to them for 6 months and see what happensyou'll be fine anon
