I'm a young guy, 20 years old and I'm afraid of wasting it. A life well spent basically means being social, having a fun and progressing your chosen career, thats what is means right? Well I know the kind of profession i want, I have a clear goal about that but at the same time it seems a bit unclear. The social part is waining however, I'm socially isolated. I don't see my friends from high school much, when I do see them it doesn't exactly change anything. What can i do to meet people, potentially girls. Basically my whole life is spent at home feeling like a rat in a cage. I've also been looking for a job, will travelling help me not waste my youthful years?

Here is the roadmap young anon.

Get a job > establish yourself > start going out > make adjustments

Get a job: A steady income is the backbone of your life as a man. Don't ridicule small income. Money is money.

Establish yourself: With the steady income you make after some time, have your own place. Rent a place or a room or whatever you can. Create your routines. Going to the gym, cooking, groceries etc. Establish your lifestyle. Track your spending.

Start going out: Start spending money on yourself a bit. Get a few combinations of clothes to go out with. Find some nice perfume and use deodorant. Get haircuts. Start going out where you can meet people. Find events near your area and regularly go out with the goal of talking to people. Over time people who actually enjoy your company will stick around. It's a slow but steady process.

Make adjustments: Start fixing things that bother you. You've been going steady for a year but feel lonely? Start going to events where you can meet women often. Play the slow game. Don't try to fuck women the day you meet them.
You don't like yourself physically? See what you can change. Clothing, fitness, diet, skincare, hair etc.
Make adjustments.

thanks anon, I apreciate the long response. You think its possible to rent a place from a minimum wage

No idea where you live but in Europe everywhere its normal to rent a room in a flat where you can live with 2-3 people in the same flat. It might be good for you or bad depending on the people you pair up with. It's a bit of a luck. I never had anything horrible happen. In a couple of years you can move out to a better situation. Nobody expects you to live in your own flat until your late 20's. It's also not financially smart to put more than %30 of your wage to rent.

I live in australia, I'll look into renting with people. My mum however does not want me to move out, she gets mad at me if I tell her my desire to do so

If you're mom is controlling this will affect everything in your life. She will comment on your job, on your friends, on who you date, which car you buy. If she's a hovering hand on your life making decisions for you it will be hard for you. Decide for yourself if its worth not paying rent for a bit. Maybe you can live with her a year more until you have a good enough stash and then you can move. Not sure what your mother's intentions are. If she's single, she might be thinking she's gonna get lonely when you're gone idk.

yea if you have the money, go travel. do something you'll probably never do again. I went to south africa for a month and got a zulu girlfriend for a few weeks, it was awesome.

Take advantage of the free ride, retard. Set yourself up now and work will be only a minor inconvenience.
