Like I don't have any suicidal thoughts but I'm just bored of my life as it is right now. I want to change, but I don't know where to start. Should I see a psychiatrist? Should I go get a blood test and see if something's wrong with my vitamin/mineral levels? Jordan peterson says I should start with small stuff like making my bad every morning or something. What do I do?

>>34331008>19 years old>Posting anime reaction images >Claims to be burnt out, depressed bored of lifeThe smart money says you live on the internet, identify with weeb subculture, and most of your time is spent frying your eye sockets with an overload of visual stimulation from screens.
>>34331033>you live on the internetTrue, I have +12h screentime since last summer.>identify with weeb subcultureKinda false, it was either this or green frog. I'm not a weeb.>and most of your time is spent frying your eye sockets with an overload of visual stimulation from screens.True, for the past two months, I've been experiencing burning and watering in my eyes, and my vision has significantly decreased. I used to have very sharp vision, but now I see things blurry even at distances of 5 meters. However, since I have nothing else to do to pass the time, I don't know what to do.Since you've made such frighteningly accurate predictions about me, maybe you can help me idk. Tell me how can I end this madness.
>>34331008>tired/bored of lifeThat's a big vague, isn't it?
>>34331008its depressionwelcome to adulthood
>>34331049>Since you've made such frighteningly accurate predictions about me, maybe you can help me idk. Tell me how can I end this madness.Go and find a responsibility. Any responsibility at all, anything. Get a dog, get a cat, get a job, get an education, get a girlfriend, get her pregnant, get your own child, get something where you are not even allowed to fuck up and slack off. It will suck and be a bummer for 6 months but soon it becomes your new normal and you will be happier overall because then you can look yourself in the mirror and feel like your time spent has meaning. One of the worst lines of advice you will ever hear is "time you enjoy wasting isn't wasted time." Absolute crock of horse shit. Because it leaves out the fact you stop enjoying the time waste. But you keep doing it anyway because it's all you know, you become slave to it. You need to find something to fill time that is NOT a screen. Humans were not designed to stare at screens for 12+ hours a day. Think about it. We've been around for 300,000 years as modern humans, and our primitive form even longer. These fucking screens have only been around 100 years. It's completely unnatural and inhumane to stare at them 12+ hours a day. No wonder it scrambles the mind

>>34331008Yeah, don't let that fester. If you want a change make a change, get a different job, find a gf, pick up a new hobby, go out more with your friends. Doesn't really matter what. In all likelihood there's nothing physically wrong with you, you're just in a rut.
>>34331008Good news anon, a new major war is just starting so you'll have something to do!
>>34331008Howie thread.Join the army.
>>34331008You don't need radical change in your life, just something to shake it up a bit.Make a bucket list. Pick something on it. Do it.
>>34331008If you're bored, the only solution is to break the pattern.Example: You spend all day on the computer.Solution: Get out of the house.Break the pattern.
>>34331243You say that as if children can magically heal every internal conflict within a person. You can't rely on another human being to establish a legacy or sense of fulfillment for you. YOU need to do that ON YOUR OWN through YOUR OWN ACTIONS. Otherwise, you would be projecting your own desires onto a child who could care less about them.
>>34334015In order to take care of a child it requires taking care of yourself. If you don't take care of yourself, that child is dead. It requires eating right, having energy, sleeping right, being hygienic, cultivating a good routine, going out to make money, it requires checking yourself for character flaws, flaws that could terrify a child. It requires doing away with vices and habits. Etc. Children don't heal the adult parent, correct. But the dynamic that a child brings necessitates and demands self improvement by force. You either self improve or your child gets taken away by child protective services. Having a kid is a very effective boot up the ass for anyone. The only time this is not true is for dumbass parents who had theirs by mistake and didn't plan on it. For those who make the conscious decision to have a child, it changes everything.
>>34331008I don't know. I'm 21. It doesn't get better. Just don't kill yourself. Maybe it does get better I dont know yet. Will get back to you when I'm 70 years old.
>>34331008Read "before you go extinct"It's 6 chapters. If your attention span is too fried for that, and you can't think anymore cause chatGPT fried your critical thinking centers then watch this video about it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=736iLZavhVIIf you don't catch what he's saying about Christmas, rewind and repeat until you do because it's critical to understanding a lot of things in life. Especially what you're dealing with now.And OP, do NOT seek advice from these online guru wannabe's like Jordan Peterson.Do something that builds discipline now and it'll pay dividends later. Take up a sport, martial art, weightlift or general fitness activity that keeps you active and/or read more non-fiction. Learn how something works. Take apart a bicycle I don't know what your interests are. 19-27 is the time to experiment and sift through these feelings.
>>34331008i personally tried and failed for years to get myself to study or practice a hobby or do anything useful with my life beyond work for a living.i think the reason i kept failing was because i kept trying to motivate myself and push myself beyond what a depressed piece of shit could realistically hope to accomplish, and ended up just tripping myself up.i don't know if it'll help you, but the only thing that ended up working for me was taking it extremely slowly.pick some hobby or something to study, and start doing it for 10 minutes every day. once you're done with those 10 minutes, you're free to do whatever you want. then you just increase it by 10 minutes every 2 months.it might sound too slow. you might want to believe that you can do more than that. but it's supposed to be easy enough that it will require almost zero motivation since, if you want it to really stick, you need to make it into an absolute habit that you're not allowed to miss a single day of no matter what. the only reason for you to miss a day is if you're literally incapacitated and it's physically impossible for you to do it, which isn't always easy if you're feeling down, or life throws something unexpected at you.you're also not allowed to go beyond the amount of time that you set every day.if you're feeling motivated and want to do it anyway, go find some demotivational videos on youtube, or use negative reinforcement. look in the mirror and tell yourself "you're going to fail, you don't have what it takes, you're a fucking loser, etc..." look deep inside you, find the part of you that is motivated, and then KILL IT. remember, motivation is the enemy of discipline.also, if you can, find a part time job and save everything you earn. nothing will give you more peace of mind than having money in the bank.
