I bullied one of my friends pretty badly in high school and he won’t stop leaving threatening messages and generally sends really angry messages and then blocks me. I hit him more than once but it was over eight years ago now and the messages don’t stop coming in. How do I handle this? He goes away for months and then it randomly happens again and again. He even apologizes and then months pass and he’s sending his address and dares me to show up to fight him.
>>34332283I would say contact the police but if you assaulted him more than once that will probably complicate things. Is there evidence of your own behaviour? If not you can probably get him charged for criminal harassment and end the behaviour for good.
Not fun being picked on is it. Now you know a small taste of what you inflicted. Apologize for what you did it seems like you haven’t even considered doing that.
>>34332283Honestly just man up and apologize dude. You should try to do it face to face and actually talk to him. I’m pretty sure he’s waiting to hear something from your side, and if you don’t talk to him properly it’s only going to make things worse and keep haunting you. It’s better to clear the air now than to let it get bigger.
>>34332283>I bullied one of my friends pretty badly in high school Why would you do that?
>>34332440I had a lot of issues. I remember specifically he walked away from me once and it just irked me so I followed h and slapped him several times in front of half the school. I don’t want to minimize what happened but it’s been eight entire years.
>>34332454>it just irked me so I followed Yeah that's not okay.> it’s been eight entire years. This doesn't matter. People who are wronged will go to huge lengths to make sure they have "the last laugh". That doesn't make what he's doing right, but you're going to have to deal with it.
>>34332478So I just have to put up with it? I’m on the fence between a police report or just continuing to ignore him.
>>34332485I can't tell you what to do since this isn't happening.
>>34332283So you were and continue to be an asshole, and now you get treated like an asshole. What exactly is your complaint?
>>34332283You should cut off the tip of your pinky and mail it to your friend along with a recording as way of apology for how you treated him.
>>34332283You deserve it Anon. Apologize for your past behavior and he will leave you alone. Remember you're the one who bullied him.The fact you have the audacity to complain about him bothering you shows a double standard: It was fine for you to follow him & slap him but it's not ok when he harasses you back. You are a massive hypocrite. Apologize to him now.
>>34332283>and he’s sending his address and dares me to show up to fight him.You know what you have to do. Go, fight him.
>>34332283Try going back in time and being less of a cunt.
>>34332283Can't you just block him?
>>34332283Buy a gun and concealed carry permit
>>34332283Gather evidence and file police report.
>>34336874If I do do this I’m asking them not to press charges considering what happened but maybe it’s for the best. At least they will get him to stop.
>>34332283sounds like his hate's gonna boil over into doming or beating you into a pulp someday and i genuinely hope something of the sort comes to you, its the only way you people ever learn and it was almost always the only way i could ever stop people messing with me in my experienceyou reap what you sow
>>34332283i hope he fucks you up badly
It might help to understand why he's leaving these messages. You might need to have a proper conversation where you reconcile and bury the hatchet. If you can't reasonably make him stop then at some point you might need to block him. What you did back then wasn't right but that doesn't give him a free pass to harass you indefinately. If it's not a bad idea and you're getting close to that point you can respectfully warn him before hand, that if he doesn't stop you'll need to block or unfriend him.
