Lost my job of over 25 years. Currently in the process of starting unemployment for the first time in my life (PITA) and looking for ways to maximize my benefits and intake (ethically or not, but definitely legally). I am not poor, but I am not looking to retire yet. I'm AM tired from life and would like to take advantage of the unemployment while I have it. I am thinking if I have paid into the system for the past 40 years, I deserve some time off, for at least a little bit. Not being lazy, just want a month or two off. What are some ways to maximize my unemployment benifits? Any other programs I should utilize or take advantage of? Do I actually have to apply for jobs regularly to keep my unemployment going, or can I just say I did (I can't imagine the average unemployment taker can nvigate this fucked up system accurately)? Should I just apply for jobs that I know I won't get (CIO's and shit)?
get a job you lazy nigger!

Check out the videos on Bob Wells’ YouTube channel. The people he interviews are people who are retired or poor or work seasonal jobs. They live a minimalist lifestyle to reduce their cost of living and they are typically people who worked mundane jobs their entire life and are using their vehicle to live a stress free life.

I just want to take advantage of what I can while I am not working for the man. I am cool spending the last decade of my working life working, but would just like to take some time off is all.
