I really should decide what I want to do with my life.
I want to go to uni. I've always been told that I should pick something that interests me, I like design and have been interested in city design so I checked out architecture or urban planing.
>architecture
is a long degree here and much of what gets build today is forced to be ugly and souless by regulation and economic constraints. also I'll need another 3 years of internships after finishing the degree to get a license and the entire filed is filled with ego trippers that make it hard to leave a mark until later in life. that said I really do think that a good building is a work of art and I wish I could add more beauty to the world, I also could lean into urban planing after I get it.
>urban planing
it's a M.A here, fastest way to get it is by a fast track program studying geography, I think it's a cool job and definitely wish I could have an impact with it but I talked to a few professionals and it seems that the money is quit bad. not poverty but I will not have an easy life doing it.
>other??
I was good with maths and physics in high school and could get into mechanical engineering or data science but I'm hesitant on giving up the urban design idea.
I've been parallelised with indecision for a month and the deadline for signing up is approaching.
how the fuck do I choose? this seems like the single most important thing I could choose in my life so far but I haven't done enough to know what I want or like to do for a living.
>>
just pick one, you could always change course later if you don't like it there
I know people who did the same, i.e. going from a STEM degree to something else, just do what you like
