I’m 21. I want to make the most of my youth but it’s pretty tough. I failed to make any meaningful connections during my teens due to environmental factors and psychological wounds. I basically need to insert myself into already existing friend groups which is already tricky but I also have asperger’s which makes bonding with other people really difficult. I’m a really lonely guy. It makes me sad when I see my childhood friend having fun at uni with all of his buddies, going to parties and travelling the country together. Sometimes I just wish I were him instead of myself. I don’t even know where to begin.

That's another great way to get both ostracized and remain inexperienced at the same time.
