I want to move out (just turned 26) but only have $7k savingsLive in Melbourne Think it’s do-able? I don’t care if I have to live in a shitty flat just tired of living with parents Is it doable if I found work within a month or two?
everything is do-ablewhere there is a will, there is a wayand the way is the destination.at least thats what i am always saying.that being said, you should first have a stable income (ie a job) before moving out. else it would be a pretty big gamble. just endure them a little bit more, i know that feeling and apply for occupations. also idk how it is in straya but in europe you have to pay bail/security deposit of 3 months. so if a flat is 500$ you have to pay 1500$ up front. so realisticly with ur savings ur only going to pay rent for what, 6 months? what landlord is going to rent you a flat for 6 months? its not worth the hasslesome jobs/apprenticeships even provide a single flat, or help with that if you ask nicelyif you really must leave them asap and you have a drivers license, maybe search a big rustbucket car and pimp it out a little so you may sleep in the back but thats gonna be pretty difficult with only 7k$
>>34356090Savings isn't as important as income. Find a job first, then find a place for rent that charges less than your monthly income.
Very
>>34356090I moved out with no money in my pocket except my last paycheck at age 21. If you're motivated you can make it work. It was miserable and sucked but eventually I made it far enough in life now I own my own house t.late 30s
>>34356090You may end up being a poorfag forever. Housing is extremely overpriced at the moment. You should continue living with your parents, find a job and invest money into an all-world ETF. Eventually the ~10% compound interest will add up, and you will finally achieve true financial independence.
no free housing and welfare? oops should have been born as a nordic god
