There was one time I somehow got a seat next to a drop dead gorgeous asian young lady at a classical concert, we did chat extremely briefly before and after each piece, went nowhere. Then after the interval some random asian dude was sitting in her seat, I saw the girl then on stage as a soloist in the concerto.

Me too. The fact there's rarely any young women at the classical concerts here might betray the fact that there's not many intellectual women where I live.
Don't get me wrong, I think opera singing is a very impressive feat of the human voice. I just think it's a weird noise to make with ones throat, it rubs me the wrong way audially. Plus I'm not fluent in any 18th/19th century, mainland European languages therefore I can't understand any of what they're saying. The story is lost on me.
A 45 minute orchestral symphony on the other hand, I can understand the plot, the motifs and story the composer is trying to convey without any words.

I'm an eurofag, Idk how the situation is in the US (I guess you're form there). Here the opera house has special discounts for students (you pay like 10€, which is a cinema price, and you get the empty seats randomly, you can't choose your location. I often get premium seats tho, like in the boxes (which are top tier imo) or even the first rows of the parterre (less cool than boxes but prime view). Those seats would normally go for tens or even hundreds of euros. I saw a discreet amount of young people (in any way a majority obviously). Take into account that my city is both a tourist attraction (plenty of people see that as a tourist attraction) and university hub (therefore the young people). Maybe you should try concert halls near a college campus, Idk. Anyway, it's not that easy if you're not able to talk with strangers during the intermission (that's when everyone goes to the foyer and you can approach). Or a miracle might happens lime it did for me. Be careful to not waste it like I did by being a clueless sperg tho, or it will haunt you forever

Even if you spoke italians, it's hard to tell what they're saying with the singing technique. You're supposed to read the story before or during the show (even in the 18th century they used booklets for that reason). In the theatre I went (an internationally known one btw) they put subtitles over the curtain top, both in the original language and in english (for tourists), so you didn't even need to read anything before, it was like a foreign movie

I think McDonald's is a decent place to meet women. Usually when girls or women go there, they have a social mindset. They are also less bitchy than women on average. Just lots of fatties

How you're meeting them is far more important than where. If you're just throwing it at everyone, it'll be annoying at best, and it won't matter where you are. Especially if you aren't particularly handsome.
