i always dread girls asking me about my hobbies because my video game taste is all /v/ coded crap like shmups and character action that makes me sound like a hipster but even just telling a girl i love video games makes me sound like someone degenerate who plays nothing but multiplayer games on discord all day. i also do indie dev but i feel like when i tell people this it makes me sound like a soundcloud rapper that youd rather die than listen to.how do i be upfront with women about who i am and what im about without looking and sounding like a massive faggot? i like other stuff like movies and music but im only like 2/5 as interested in those and cant speak confidently about them or back up my taste (before you say anything no i dont listen to video game osts)
