IDK if "looksmaxxing" is the right word here, but I (33 YO man) definately started looking better in recent years.I started dressing more mature, gained weight (I was super skinny), gained a little bit of muscle, tried a few different hairstyles, grew and keep a nice beard and worked on my posture. But I feel more invisible than before, IDK why, not even in physical sense, but as a whole person.I do get some looks, but it's mostly from 35+ YO women and I'm not even sure what those looks entail. Sometimes I see it as interest, other times, I feel like an alien that they are staring at. I will probably never feel good about myself due to bullying I experienced as a kid.I do get more dates on OLD, but they lead nowhere. But just asking in general - is it normal to feel more invisible after "looksmaxxing"?
>>34362134>is it normal to feel more invisible after "looksmaxxing"?I think so, yes. For two reasons. One, your expectations probably have gotten higher, and when they're not met you take it badly. And for two, you go down that rabbithole and you become more hyper-aware of people's looks, including your own. When you're that visibly worried about how you look instead of letting it be effortless and natural, you become noticeably uptight and stressed. That's unattractive, even if you objectively look better now than you used to. Combine that with your unmet higher expectations and you're in for a bad time.>T. went down a similar rabbithole about 10 years ago
>>34362187Okay, how do I reverse those side effects, if that's even possible?
>>34362225You stop caring so much. After a while you shouldn't worry that much about how you look especially if you've successfully looksmaxxed. At that point, you should shift focus to being more comfortable in your own skin and developing an actual personality. Instead of relying on looks 100%.Again...been there before OP.
>>34362134If you wanna attract 18 year old pussy at the age, you need to get more buff and practice a sport. Start competing in marathons, cycling, hiking or other activities where you can meet fit young women. And you need to actually be good in those activities, and bigger.
The beard is the issue, and the looking mature part as well. As weird as this sounds, try to look younger. Younger women don’t like that patriot look and, aside from a few rare exceptions, they don’t like men who look like dads or handymen. Essentially, don’t look like you smell like sandalwood.Women 30 and older like men who look matured because they’re desperate and want to feel younger than their actual ages. Same with women who like men with salt and pepper or grey hair, it’s usually old moms who swooned over Sean Connery or George Clooney, not young pretty girls.
>>34362430>Look more buffYes and no. Not power lifter or construction worker buff like a veteran. They like men who look very cut and chiseled with sharp, angular features and abs they can run their fingers over. Hair is also important, as they want to run fingers through something. The only way to get a younger girl as a man in his 30s is to essentially resemble Leon Kennedy.
>>34363679>and the looking mature part as wellNaaah, I looked like a teenager in my late 20s. Now I look mature, like a mature 25-ish year old would more or less. I could easily make a dating app profile and state I am 23, they would believe me. 26 would be more safe.>>34362430This doesn't sound like an option I'd choose.
>>34362134It's unironically because you're older. I also like to think I look better than in my mid 20s. But this is not how you are perceived. Women, also older ones, are actually attracted to young men on a purely sexual level. It doesn't matter I gained muscle and got rid of some shitty skin. I am not in my 20s anymore. It sucks but it's true.
>>34367828Okay but I looked like a teenager in my 20s and I could pass for a 24 year old guy now in my early 30s. I dated a 20 YO like a year+ ago, we went to a cafe near a uni campus and the baristas there thought I was a student there.I had a gf when I was 30, who was 10 years younger than me, she looked my age. And I could go on with the examples.
>>34367879There are a million little micro features that make you look older that you don't even realize you have
>>34362134>beard90% of women are not into it, they like 1-2 day stubble at most
