I would like to buy a comfortable chair to watch movies and to read, but the problem is that I don't know which one I should choose.I don't play games, and I've never had a chair to play video-games, but I noticed these are omnipresent, and I'm curious to know if one is a good choice for me. I'm also worried about the wings in the backrest because I have large shoulders.Do you have one or both types? Which one would you recommend and why? Anything I should pay attention to before buying it?
>>34362983Neither of these are very comfortable. The racing chairs are notoriously hard and you will need to pick up a purple cushion to use with it. If you specifically want it to watch movies and read in and I would look for a sofa chair, something with spring cushioning
>>34362993I would like something less bulky, maybe to put on the back porch sometimes.
>>34363225You can own more than one chair
>>34362983Sit on this
>>34363225Versatile and comfy are at odds with each other. Typically something comfortable does not have wheels and outdoor furniture is typically very uncomfortable. I would pick up a nice sofa chair and then pick up something cheap for on the deck
>>34363231Totally, but I'm short on money.
>>34363256So buy a $15 plastic deck chair for outside what is wrong with you?
>>34363244>>34363260Like I said, I want something comfortable and not bulky.I never saw a gamer chair in person, so I don't know if it's good and comfortable. I'm also worried about those wings since I have large shoulders.
>>34362983If you’re just going to watch movies and read, go to the furniture store and sit in a few recliners until you find one you like. If it’s too expensive, go to goodwill or get it on craigslist.
>>34362983Video game chairs are awful. You want an office chair like the Leap V2 or Herman Miller Aeron.
>>34362983IKEA poang is the best chair for this. I have two in my house for relaxing and reading books. the deck chairs on the left are a static version of the morris chair, which looks like that but has an adjustable back. they're very stiff and my parents still have two morris chairs, they're far from comfy. same with the racing chair, it's like an office chair with a stiff back. I use one of them at the computer to sit up straight. It's not very comfortable as other anons said it's stiff. poang is the right mix of support and being laid back, and it has a little bounce so it's not like sitting on a hard deck. you can get about any color and material, I have a leather one and a cloth one they're both great. you can also get a foot stool / rest that's sloped to match the poang, I only have one for the leather chair.however you are allowed to go outside and go to a furniture store and sit in actual chairs to see what you like. you're not obligated to buy you can just go try and start to form your own opinion. this is true for ikea, goodwill and other thrift stores, and office stores. It's worth it to take the time and see what you like because a chair is more than just what it looks like. Or just trust bro and get the poang.

>>34363398Aeron chaircan confirm it is very comfy
>>34362983Reclining mesh office chair. You can put a pillow and blanket on there for extra cozy when you need but baseline is breathable and supportive.
>>34365956I hate to say it's that simple, but it's that simple. Bought one (simple mesh office chair) through Staples a few years ago when I started working from home. Wife tried it and took it from me. Had to buy a second one. I am in this chair almost 16 hours a day (work and stream on my computer) and it's always comfy. First one was $139, second one $149.
>>34362983I use this. I find it quite comfortable.https://www.ikea.com/us/en/p/soederhamn-chaise-viarp-beige-brown-s09305624/
