So my gf was whining to me the other day that I don't spend time going out with her, and that my role as a man is to pay for everything while she coasts. I told her I am not some subservient simp who has to cater to her every needs. For example, I have made more efforts to spend time with her at home, help more with chores she never did anyway, and offered to go out on cheap dates since she just got a job and I ain't daddy warbucks. So our movie date comes and she kept me in limbo for three weeks. I asked what happened and apparently one week her mom wanted her to help her file taxes, and the other two she either slept all day or went to couch rot at her friend's house. Now, my PC has a bit of an issue so I decided to buy some parts for it, and she had a huge melty over it. "Oh ,you have enough money to buy computer parts but you can't spend and take me out ever week? I'm bored home all day and you need to entertain me, etc". She doesn't understand a one time purchase that lasts 5-7 years is different from me spending on expensive dinners, uber rides, and other shit she whines about. She doomscrolls on her instagram and watches her friend and her bf do wacky shit every week, but they live paycheck to paychek and in debt. She doesn't understand she is clout chasing to pst crap online to no one to feel better, and lashes out at me as if it is my fault she has no hobbies, or refuses to do anything on her own. It's not like I don't try since I bought her a lot of stuff to try and give her hobbies(her on PC, mic equipment since she wanted to be a voice actress, workout equipment, help her try and start some online business she no longer cares for, etc). It seems like no matter what I do it's never enough. IS there any point to staying with someone like this?
