How do i cope with studying a meme degree ( digital communication) ?I kinda wish i endured STEMceldom for a little while. We basically learn fuck all for the most part.Should i just dip out once i have my degree and go for another 5 years and study what i actually enjoy ? Or wait until my 30s ? Im feeling weird existential dread, this is the first time that i've done something so long term and impactful that it weights down on me.
>>34369416Why are you reposting this?
>>34369503I posted it on /r9k/ then figured this is a more appropriate board to whine
>>34369518You posted it onto here, just in a different way.
>>34369523This is genuinely my first time ever posting on this board, but im glad there's someone in a similar position who can relate.
>>34369416What makes you think that what you study in college has anything to do with the rest of your life? Only about 25% of college grads wind up working in the same field as their major or degree. The rest use the SKILLS, not the textbook knowledge, that they picked up while studying and apply them to another field. An English major who can analyze poetry can anlyze sales reports. A history major who can research Napoleon can research zoning regulations. Anyone who can find his way around a computer keyboard has an advantage over the millions out there who can't.
>>34369416well, if that makes you feel better, CS is a meme degree now
>>34369416CS is a meme degree. Oversaturated.Zoomers think they'll become the next Mark Zuckerberg by doing CS.
Dont trust the education system.Buy books.read them.
